Hi hoping there’s someone smarter than me that can help me understand this better.

My 2020 Laramie 8.4 non navigation is great I absolutely love it.

But I’m wanting the theme inside the limited (blueish with white text) inside the cluster.

Is there a way to enable that with Alfaobd a tazer dt or something else?

Any guidance would be appreciated

I believe you need the 12in NAV to be able to change the themes in the cluster and infotainment screen (maybe the 8.4in NAV but don’t think so). There is a way you can go into the computer system and change it manually with a tool but I’m not smart enough to know what it’s called or how to do that.

Would love to know if this only available with 12" as I'm planning to order the 8.4" with mine. So many things to be aware of in the little nuances of these trucks.

I have the 8.4 NAV on my 2021 and I'm able to select different themes. I currently have mine set to the limited version. I think I have 5 or 6 different themes to choose from.

Thank you for confirming. So I guess the question is now can you enable Themes on a non nav unit.

You can only get that function by upgrading to a nav unit (8.4” with nav or 12”) or using the tazer dt.

That’s what change cluster splash screen means

Ah I’m seeing what you’re saying now.

Have you done this yourself?

The only reason I ask is bc id hate to order a tazer and have it not do it lol

Like could the splash screen run independently of the theme - but maybe in over thinking it

The SPLASH SCREEN is not the Theme!
What else could you possibly change within the cluster other than the ability to go between Laramie, rebel and limited theme? Sorry if I’m incorrect that was my only assumption of what you would want to change. I spoke to a member that change his to a rebel in the cluster via the tazer

Did confirm it’s splash only for tazer.

I kinda guessed it’s just a short gif or video clip then would revert to the original theme.

Thanks for your help everyone so far.

Does anyone have a non nav 8.4 with alfaobd that could check that out, or point me to another resource?

For what it's worth, the blue was hard to see for me. I changed it to orange
