Just bought a 2021 1500 big horn 5.7L. Looking to put a front leveling kit on her, either 2.5 or 3 inch. Any recommendations? Please feel free to post pictures. Thanks

Does google not work for you? Plenty of threads on this man. Ill bite though. Heres the truth alot wont like, want to do it the cheap mickey mouse way? Put spacers and dont come crying back when you have issues like alot of folks. Sure, you might get lucky and have no issues, or create a delusion in your head thinking its fine when its not. 50/50 chance. Some will say oh well if you dont off road your fine. Sure. Willing to loose your ride quality or hear squeaking or save hundreds to cause thousands of damage down the line like alot of folks? Up to you. Willing to take the chance? Im not.
Or you can do it the correct way, be patient, save a little more money and go with something like Bilstein, Carli, Mopar, or Eibach struts/coilovers.
Also be sure to replace your UCAs if your going over 2".

Google works great, just figured I’d ask in a forum…for 5th gen rams…to get some different/potentially better answers. Thanks 👍

I went with 2” motofab top hat spacers. Perfectly level. Anything taller, or if you’re going to off-road you might want to go with some leveling struts and UCAs.

I recommend the Eibach kit. It is actual shocks, not spacers. However, it is only 2 inches which leveled my 2022 Laramie perfectly and allows 34 or 35 inch tires.

Many have spacers with no issues, if you go offroad alot I would suggest a better solution but if just for looks spacers are fine as long as its done right. I would agree with anything over 2" upgrade the UCAs as the geometry changes and you dont want to be riding down the road and have a ball joint fail

Thanks guys, after doing some further research I think I’m going to go with a 2 inch which will allow me the room for 33’s. Dont do much off-roading, usually just to get to hunting spots so it’ll be mainly for looks. However I still think I will go with shocks instead of pucks 👍

Nothing wrong with that. Just for reference, here’s the ball joint angle with 2” level and factory UCAs.

Upgraded control arms are a no brainer with how cheap the Mopar offroads ones are. Do a search around here and see what happens when the Balljoints let go. Spending a dollar now will save you much more $$ down the road.

True ball joint fails sending the whole suspension assembly up into the wheel well wrecking a slew of other components or even damaging body panels. The 2” mopar lift UCA’s are inexpensive. Or some people say the rough country quality has improved over time.

Or if you want to ball out!!

Some people say the lifted struts give a better ride then the spacers
I’m looking to do the same with my 2020. Will go with rough country 3.5.Lift kit

I’m not if they are preload spacers. Top hat spacers don’t affect anything. Spring rate remains the same.

Sorry about the first response you got. Theres about 4 guys on here who are perpetually rude.
Spacers are fine for an aesthetic lift of 1-2.5 inches. As long as youre not offroading. Even then, youre fine on an unimproved road, just dont go serious offroading. dirt, grass, snow are all fine

I have a 2019 1500 Laramie quad cab. I am looking to just get a small lift and level. I am not a heavy driver (my previous vehicle was a 2004 that had 58,000 when I sold it in June 2024) and am not looking to off road or anything like that. I go to 4wd beach in outer banks each summer for 7-10 days. That is it. I am thinking of doing the Motofab 3" front and 1.5" rear kit. I know it will still have a slight forward rake. Is this kit okay to go with? I know many are against the leveling pucks; but as stated I primarily paved road drive and usually less than 5,000 miles per year. 4wd beach once a year. Advice? Other recommendations?

I used Revel Links and Daypro spacers for my 25 limited.

If you do leveling pucks, make sure they are top hat. Also would recommend changing the UCAs with 3” in the front
