Am I missing something but appears if I lock my truck with keyfob. Next day I go to unlock with keyless with the fob in hand it just keeps kicking the car and I have to physically unlock with key fob button.

Is passive entry enabled in your UConnect settings?

I'll have to check when it it later but I'm pretty sure it is checked. What exactly does that due then if that's the problem?

Hi AnthonyJS02,

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this. We suggest connecting with your local certified FCA dealer if you are unable to remedy this concern on your own. We are available via private message if you are in need of any additional assistance during this process.

If Passive Entry is turned on, then as long as you have the key fob in your pocket (or wherever close by), when your fingers touch the back side of the door handle (as if you're about to pull the handle to open the door), the truck will unlock. When you do grab the handle, you have to pause for like 1/4 of a second to let the truck detect you and unlock before you actually pull the handle to open the door.

If PE is not turned on, then you have to press the Unlock button on the key fob to unlock the truck.

do you have any LED lighting around, that can interfere with the signal. There is a thread going on about how some cheap LEDs (people like to upgrade the cargo bed and 3rd brake light) cause signal interference.

Just to throw in that the button on the door handle is only for locking the truck. Some manufactures you have to push the button to unlock the door. Not the case with the Ram.

Only works on the front doors

So this out probably the biggest reason then. Makes sense.

Sounds like you found the issue, it took me a little bit to realize the button on the front doors is purely for locking. Unlock by putting your fingers at the back of the handle for a moment, which unlocks the door.

The passenger front requires you to pull the handle to unlock however.

Also, in Unconnect settings, you can do some custom stuff. Such as whether only the driver's door unlocks or all the doors unlock when you unlock the driver's door. Also, when you press the lock button, you can set when the horn sounds. Default is the horn goes off after the first lock, which pisses off my neighbors. You can turn it off completely, but I prefer the 2nd lock, which means if I'm at a parking lot I can double check and make sure my doors are actually locked by hearing the horn go off after locking it again.

Thanks for clearing up. Yeah I found that super annoying right off bat and going that honk at one lock button.
