K&N Cabin Filter

Have any of you bought the their cabin cleaning kit? Wonder if it's worth it or just wash in the sink.

This kit is interesting, besides a cleaner it comes with refresh spray to eliminate odors, probably a sort of Febreze thing.
Ya it's only like $20.00 to clean and refresh.

What is the correct orientation? I ended up sticking it in with the writing right side up facing me so I can read it when I open the cover. I don’t know if that’s right though trying to figure that out.

I bought a generic one, was much better quality than original. Has carbon layer and multi layer filtration for about $12, depends on seller. Fit was really tight, but went in. Did not hurt air flow as far as I know. I went camping in 110 degree 🏜 and kept cool entire time. Bought same type for my other vehicles too. Says 99% and Hepa.

Unbranded Chinese junk HEPA, maybe. If you want real HEPA, get the Bosch 6090C. People laud K&N but the reality is it filters far less - that's the only way it achieves more airflow with the same filter size. If you're okay with that, go for it... but I stay perfectly comfortable even with the HEPA filter in mine.
