But it's time to say goodbye. I traded my 2019 Ram Rebel in last Friday. It was the truck that saw me buy a house, start my business, marry the love of my life, transport two newborns around, and took me to so many cool places, hunting and fishing. The truck had over $15k in warranty repairs over the last 3-4 years. All the common Ram problems, you name it, I had it. Exhaust manifolds, leaks, rear window, power tilt mirrors, evap core ($$$$), etc. The final straw for me was the eTorque failing for the third time. Despite all that, I loved that truck. If it wasn't an eTorque? I might have kept it. I will say, my local dealer really took care of me. They got so much covered that Mopar fought them on.

Not that it really matters, but this is what I ended up going with. I wanted the most simple, naturally aspirated, tried and tested motor I could find. I drove 8 hours round trip to get it. They gave me a great deal on my trade.

I think the Tremor is a fantastic replacement. Wish I could afford one. Keep an eye on the cylinder deactivation in the Coyote engine...they can end up with similar issues like Rams MDS system.

I appreciate the heads up on that. My only regret was not being able to wait another year and maybe score a new truck with lightened emissions regs.

Sorry to see you go but congrats. No one can blame you for moving on, sounds like you had all the patience in the world for your Ram.

Man, I feel your pain to some extent.

If Ford had a real quad cab set up or if I was open to a Crew…. I might be right there with you. I’m kind of pissed off about my new tow module errors I did not have before the recall replacement. But those suicide doors on the Ford Super Cab’s are a turn off and GM doesn’t remotely interest me. Makes me kind of stuck, hopefully my dealer can sort it out.

Good luck with your new truck. Hopefully you grow to love it as much as your Ram.

I’m pretty sure a tune can deactivate that “feature”. I know they figured that out early in the GM and combined with using a real oil my buddy has had 60k trouble free miles on his 6.2.

i'm a RAM fanboy.....no e-trash for me i would have found a 2022 conventional hemi or just got a 2-turbo RAM with 10yr-100K mi .
good looking truck but i just couldn't pull the trigger on a F1chitty

Great looking Truck. As much as I get frustrated with hearing about issues others have had, I have been fortunate with my 22 Big Horn. When I have thought of going elsewhere, I discovered that none of the others are perfect either. Even Toyota, which used to be bullet proof. Given your experience, my opinion is you made a good choice, and the same one I would have made, for what its worth.

Funny how things go in circles, and for different people. I came from being a long-time Ford owner. I owed a Mustang and four different Ford trucks. I finally got sick of their crappy quality and came to Ram, finding a better truck with similarly crappy quality. I'm on my second Ram, which has had significantly less problems than the first.

I was Chevy guy. Learned to drive on a 68 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 6 cylinder and 3 on the tree. Drove Chevys up until around 2000 when i couldn't deal with all the little stuff breaking. After that drove Toyotas until I picked up the RAM a month ago. Was never a Ford guy so didn't even consider them when I was looking. Went with the RAM for the interior, Hurricane engine and warranty. Also figured at least the motor won't self destruct like the GM/Chevys and Toyotas.
