Fact is FCA cant get a simple lid right. My truck is in the shop for the 4th time dealing with ram box lids. This time the body panel of the ram box lid is peeling away. Just trash manufacturing. They need to find another supplier. I walked the lot with the service manager and he pointed out the trashy jambox lids on two other 2019's. Any more shop time and I'll be driving a F150

That’s pretty terrible. This is what your dealer gave back to you???? That’s insane.

When they gave it back, it looked better. Then the screw beds on the body panel broke exposing the top clip parts that came loose. Then the whole dang thing started peeling away from both ends. Just trash.

How long after you took delivery did you first notice the issue?

With the first set? Immediately. I was transferring to the west coast so I couldn't get them fixed at the original dealer. It was delivered to me with bad box lids, a malfunctioning driver's side mirror camera.

The lids on mine don't seem to sit flush in some areas, like maybe the lid is warped slightly. I'm going to have the dealer look at it next time I'm in there for service

What is your build date? I got mine in November, one of the first Rebel's with RamBoxes. I was told they had to find another vendor, and I can see why. I'm guessing you have an earlier build.

That's kind of ugly. Question, though, and this is not meant to be a smart *** - if you go to an F150, what will you do for the side boxes? As far as I know Ford doesn't have those side boxes. And if you don't need them, I'm just curious why you got them? Things like that, to me, are just problems waiting to happen - plastic boxes built into the bed side. I drove Titans before this and they had a little door that went behind the rear wheel-well on some models, which sounded like a pretty good idea but in short order they had rust in them, the plastic clips were breaking, etc.

I'm not saying a $40k truck shouldn't have better quality control for sure.

So the plastic rail cap on top of the box lid is not setting tight, and the fiberglass lid is misaligned? I would think both of those should be able to be fixed. That's pretty terrible looking.

This is my first FCA product and so far I'm disappointed in the quality area

Embarrassing to FCA for sure! I hope it doesn't completely sour your view of the brand. Get this inexcusable niggle fixed and back to being a fun enjoyable truck.

Sounds like a supplier issue - really glad I didn't spend extra to get Ramboxes on my truck. IIRC, your last F150 wasn't flawless. If that's your only issue with the Ram, keep fighting the battle. I'm still getting recall notices and calls for my F150....

The whole Rambox, lid, top, and all can be removed and replaced. I'd contact FCA as they posted above, and work with them to get them replaced.

I had very good luck working with Ram Customer Servic re for my issues.
