Is it possible to add Blind Spot?

This is all correct, but you also need the wiring harness that goes from the taillight to the harness under the truck. Known as the "jumper" harness. About 2' long and made for each side of the truck. The part numbers are in the document.

I have done this and can confirm the installation method you are following will work. It's been working flawless for me for a month or so now.

I didn't mess with the XY400 connector... i just cut the wires and drilled a hole. To each their own.
So even though I purchased tail lights with blind spot already installed I still need to add the jumper harness?
How does that physically connect to each tail light?
If it's just connecting to each existing tail light harness what is it physically doing that the existing harness isn't already doing is that the ground wire that previous poster was talking about?

I apologize, I completely missed the fact that you just need to swap out the two short harnesses that connect to each tail light. The connector that is plugged into your your original tail light is missing some wiring. That connector is actually a ~2’ extension harness that “jumps” the tail light to the chassis harness. You just need to get the correct extension harness for each side that contains all the wiring for the upgraded tail lights, and swap them in.

Yep that's it. They are cheap, maybe $20 each side. You could wire it yourself but it's really not worth the trouble. Just make sure you put the correct harness on each respective side. The plastic push pins that hold the harness to the body are bigger on one side than the other, you'll notice this when you get them side by side...I did this wrong initially and my blind spot worked opposite and was all out of whack. Once i switched the harnesses it was good to go.

Thanks I just ordered wireing harnesses and connectors for star under dash I guess I gotta order the Alfa obd stuff to program now.
 
Ok so I just got the time to dig into this now I was recovering from ankle surgery. Finally back on my feet I looked under my truck 2020 bighorn 4x4 sport model and the connector under the driver seat looks different than what has been previously posted I think and or thought the connector was a single connector under the driver side floor board mine looks like two connectors back to back I assume one goes into cab under dash and the other is from tail lights ECT am I wrong that this is different than what has been posted and if so is there a diagram for what to tap into on this one?picture attached

That connector looks like it's on the frame rail. If you lay on your back and look up toward the driver seat you should see the connector that's shown in the document. It's literally bolted down to sheet metal. It's possible they changed it in 2020 but i doubt it.

Yeah I think I found it now there's a big plastic curved cover over it that has to be removed to get to it. Then the wiring is in a protective tube with very little exposed looks like a pain in the azz to get to and splice lol wish there was an easier way would love to know what that harness is that infotainment has looks like plug and play after running the cable.

yeah you do have to expose those wires. Not too bad just got to be careful with the knife. That rounded cover is held on with a zip-tie that i cut off to get to the wires.

Ok so I just removed the passenger side tail light to install the new jumper and I noticed the old jumper has a total of 10 pins on the connector that connects under the bumper? The new jumper that I ordered only has 9 pins is that correct? Should I still proceed to install the new jumper doesn't make any sense it kind of seems like I have all of the correct wiring in the old jumper??

That is correct. Where the new jumper plugs into the existing bumper harness, pins 3, 11, and 12 are not populated. As long as the connector that plugs into the driver side tail light has 11 out of 12 pins populated (pin 8 missing), and the passenger side tail light connector is fully populated with all 12 wires, everything is good.
 
Couple of questions, I'm trying to add the Sensors to my 2020 Halogen Tailights, they have the bracket already on the back but no sensors. Plan on buying the sensors off Ebay, then creating the internal wire jumper for the sensor to the connector. Then buying the 2 external jumper harnesses.

I can add the BSM to my Halogen taillights right? Or do they have to be LED lights? Also where is evening buy the molex connector to add inside the taillights? The 31404-8210? Mouser doesn't seem to have them in stock?

What did you find out for using that $1.71 connector or finding a source for that CE8183 one?
Fits. I ended up cutting the “ear” from the blind spot sensor, then the connector plugs right in and locks, seems water tight, etc

I have no idea if you can add them to halogen tail lights or not. I don’t think I’ve seen it before, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. The only thing you still need to find out is the correct pins that fit into the connector for the other end of the internal harness. In the document you’ll see I added the picture of them but don’t know the part number for them.

I’ve been meaning to do this for you guys, and finally made time to search some part numbers up. The correct grey connector that plugs into the radar (so you don’t have to shave the side key way off) is molex 31404-9210. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Molex/31404-9210?qs=byeeYqUIh0Nmhj/JhlcpTg==

I'm getting ready to finally program these can anybody confirm exactly what I need to use in order to program them via alpha OBD on an Android device I purchased the MX plus OBD adapter that supposed to do Bluetooth do I need to order the bypass module from z automotive? I think that's all I need is there anything else that I need can anybody give me a hand.

Yes - alphaobd, bypass module, and MX. That'll do it for you. Let us know how it turns out!
 
If I get a set of Blind Spot Tail Lights and Mirrors off a truck that had them equipped. Will I still need to run the wires for the mirrors to light up or are those wires built into the body harness? Making it plug and play once enabled?

The mirrors are plug and play. No additional wiring needed. This is what i did.

You'll still have to do the jumper harness and the short wiring portion under the driver seat if you get OEM tail lights.
