I drove my Longhorn, (equipped w/ standard suspension) off the lot with just 6 miles on it. I am Currently at 14,500 miles and I've been noticing for the past 3,000 miles , especially when in the rain and I have the truck in 4WD auto that my truck is starting to loose control when accelerating and when making turns from stop. Mind you I am not talking about flooring it yet driving it normally. Even when on dry ground i am experiencing more body roll in the truck and less stability overall. Iv'e been listening for any weird sounds from the suspension with my windows down and I havent heard a peep. My truck runs straight and I have never hit a pot hole or bump that made me say "uh oh". Anyone else experiencing this ?
*Could it be the struts are breaking in ? breaking down?" (Which I would think after only 15,000 miles they shouldn't)

It does sound suspension related. Can you crawl under the truck and look around for any leaks or obvious broken parts.

Have you done any suspension related mods ? Swapped out wheels/tires and if so what did you go with ?

Could be crap tires, if you are talking about traction loss. My tires started turning to crap at about 4k miles. I now have traction issues on concrete streets. I'm not really ready to fork over $1000+ for new tires, yet...

First thing to check is tire pressure and condition. Next, suspensions will settle and soften some with miles. Checking that the anti sway bars are tight would be a good idea, as would looking for any other loose suspension components.

hmm, Now that I think about it the tires I have on my truck are Nitto Ridge Grapplers which I had on my Ford F-150 before I got my ram and probably have somewhere around 30K-35K on them..
I should throw my stock wheels and Tires on and see if my truck rides any differnt with those on it.

I keep an avid watch of my psi. Keep them at 37psi rear and 38 psi front

On a clear day, I can see Seattle from my house.
Sounds like normal behavior when one tire begins to lose traction.
Keep an eye on your instrument panel to see if traction control is activating during these situations.
Just an aside - your Ram does not have struts. How to know? If it has upper control arms.

I swapped from my favorite for where I work (KO2’s) to the ridge grapplers. First trip they scared crap out of me on sharp turn. Felt like road was wet and sliding. I worked air pressure up and down and settled on 45 all the way around. This did help. Shop put them at 35 psi when They installed them. That was on 17 F150 KR 4x4. I gave them to my son at 30,000 and went back to KO2’s. Changing pressure did help get rid of the wondering, slippery feeling.

My experience with the Ridge Grapplers has been great from the start. Love them & will most likely get them again.

Ridge grapplers are nice and quiet tire. Once I figured out pressure all was good. The terrain I travel on is the main reason I stick with the KO2’s
Son took grapplers and put on his F150 and likes them
