Is Air Suspension really that great?

Off topic. That phrase just cost me a lot of $. I have concluded that I must be back to the desert with a RAM at some point.

disregard what youtube overlander tells you. suspension is key and honestly, half of the fun is being able to go highway speed in the desert (and swinging the truck's rear sideways) and the other half is seeing all the attractions.

I've done many Mojave trails in an SUV and concur with your advice - suspension and tires are everything. There are hotels and restaurants and bushes/shovels for everything else ;-)

I had a 05 Ram and it road good now we have a 21 Ram Limited with 22" Rims rides great. My vote is air any day !

my ankles can't handle the squattin'

I like mine, but not enough to add it on a new truck. Like many have said I am concerned about repair costs.
