Took some figuring out for the wiring to get them to work correctly, but I eventually figured it out and now they work as designed. The white courtesy lights override the amber running lights if they’re active. These also have a sweeping turn signal function, but I didn’t want that.
For wiring - use relays. I ended up using a fuse tap for the trailer marker lights for the amber light function. Just use the factory signal to trigger the relay.
For the courtesy lights, I used the footwell light wire (yellow/violet if you have the 3 wire footwell lights) as the trigger wire for the relay for the courtesy lights. Prior to figuring out I needed a relay, the courtesy lights ramping up and ramping down were causing the light strips to flicker / strobe.
