Input for external trailer camera? Where is it? Pics?

Thanks for sharing that. Unfortunately this is for the digital backup camera with the fakra connections. I have the 12 pin with the impossible to find male adapter (vs buying the camera)

Here’s the thing, I don’t have a problem with paying for the expensive ram camera. But I don’t want another cable to hook up, break, get loose, etc.

I have a design I’m 90% done with implementing that allows me to wirelessly broadcast my trailer cameras to my truck, and feed them into the pins/wires corresponding with Aux 1 on my 12 pin. I’ve located the harness mid truck, the colors are white + green - for the composite video signal.

I have been able to successfully Frankenstein it but now I’m actually doing it permanently and came back here to see if anyone has done this. I’m at the stage of needing to convert the 2 conductor shielded composite video cables for Aux 1 into 75 ohm coax/RCA. It’s possible I’ll need to add a 75 ohm terminal resistor to clean it up. So maybe I’m at 80%

@Jimmy07 Any feedback would be appreciated. I’m attempting to tap the lines before I straight cut them and use them for my purpose. It will likely cause video degradation.

I’ve been able to get clean video in the frankstein mock up, so I know it’s possible. But I need a solid solution for getting from the green and white conductors to an rca (NTSC- same as an analog ram cam).

Thanks all!

Got this finished today and it works great. The only thing to note is I had my polarity reversed. Green + White -
