In and out of dealership. Barely saw car for 6 months. Can't fix car.

what do you mean by issues? no matter what the egr in a "modern" diesel will soot up.
i have a theory, while you get better mpg's with diesel the fuel cost more and then you need DEF if you spend the same amount of money on gasoline you will go the same distance. so it's 6 of 1 a half dozen of the other.
In hindsight, would've gone with the gasoline version for certain. Didn't know as much about diesel and associated complexities at time of purchase.

Ended up picking up the truck after trying to do that for more than a week without dealership replying to my requests. They didn't even work on it, just reset the engine light. Their service parking lot is so full they had to start a third row of parallel parking. 1+ month, 3rd time in dealership in 6 months, took a week to get someone over phone and when asked "Do you have an estimate of when job will be done?" he answered that he did not. They do have a "service warranty" - if our repair breaks again - we'll fix it for free. They just don't mention they'll keep your car until they finish repairing all the cars that make them money or until you beg them to just get your car back.

That's RAM dealerships for you -- quantity over quality. Will look for a local shop that has capable mechanics, then selling and never touching a Dodge/RAM again.

care to name the dealership?

Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Bryan College Station. If you suspect any of my depictions were exaggerated, check their google reviews. You will find positive reviews, but a very common denominator among the negative reviews that basically confirms my experience as a "standard of service."

I don't think anyone feels your are exaggerating your experience. Just that it's more an issue with the dealership itself and not as much RAM

Update to give credit when credit's due: Ram Cares gave me a call 2 business days after escalation case was submitted. The car was already out of the dealership, so they eventually stated that if I choose to bring the vehicle back to the dealership, they'll do what they can to expedite the service. Hopefully, Stellantis starts doing more about this and other dealerships that are substandard rather than attempting to address case by case.

Still not planning to take the car back to this dealership for 4th time in 6 months. This dealership needs much more than a phone call from Stellantis to provide decent service.

Another update: tried to use front seat ventilation for first time after taking car out of the dealership. Not working for the first time ever. What a nightmare this has turned out to be. Wonder what else they screwed up in my car.... Taking to local shop in a few days and will tell them to do a comprehensive evaluation, then selling it.
