Humming/vibrating sounds

I bought my 2019 ram 1500 in October and it only made this loud vibrating/humming sound sporadically but now the sound is becoming more prominent and happening more often. I thought at first it might be some new type of eco thing but now I’m getting concerned that this is a more underlying issue. Has anyone else had this issue resolved and figured out what’s causing it? It seems to only happen when driving at slower speeds.

Yeah I’ve got a 2019 ram 1500 I bought in August and a couple times I’ve had that same deep loud humming sound first I thought it was coming from the radio I turn the radio down kept hearing it , this happened to me driving 70 on the interstate from Rochester Mn to La Crosse Wis , but it’s only happened twice I’m sure no dealer ship or service personnel would be able to find the problem ,so I’m not pursuing it at this time , unless it becomes more frequent ,

Yeah mine does it sporadically. Just really concerned that something else might be going on. I’m gonna take it to the dealership and see if they’ve heard of any other people having this issue

Plenty of threads on this but here is my 2 cents:
I have finally attributed the "droning" sound that I'm getting at times to when MDS (cylinder deactivation) is enabled. I don't think this solves weird drone sounds for everyone, but a significant number found that it was tied to the "eco" light on the dash. That of course indirectly (or directly - appears to be a debate) ties to when MDS is engaged. This was the case with me, so I have locked it out by limiting the gears to "8" (button on steering wheel) and so far the noise which was becoming a regular occurrence has not reappeared. Given the similarity to all the ANR (Auto noise reduction) complaints, my speculation is that the exhaust tone change when running on 4 cylinders is having a negative effect on ANR.

I was limiting mine the same way but didn't know I was doing it till I read on this forum that limiting it in 8th gear does that. I was just doing it to see when my other gears were shifting like I do in my Cherokee. Now that I unlocked my MDS, I am getting a lot better gas mileage as mine comes on the ECO even going 30 mph in between lights in city many times and so far I don't hear any noise or notice anything. Hope I don't start listening too careful now.

You'll know it if you have it - and your passengers (especially in the rear) will notice it too. Similar shuddering sound as going down the road at highway speeds and cracking a rear window. I haven't noticed a big change in mpg but it is a pain to remember to do it every time I put it in gear. If I don't though I'm quickly reminded. Mine has a Nov '18 build date -- so none of the ANR TSB's apply. My stereo also muffles out at high volume (>20) at highway speeds and doesn't if I'm sitting in a parking lot not running. Also a culprit of ANR I think. I've seen the ANR disconnect thread -- I'm about to do it though I hate "hacking" up a new truck.

Old thread, but I hope you had them look at the Active Noise Cancelling module and do the software TSB. Fixed mine right up, no loud humming anymore (except from me while I happily drive my now quiet truck).

Major drone noise at 1600-1700 rpm
Time for ram to pay attention, and find a fix
