How prevalent are these problems?

I am having the same water leak issues. Truck is back to the dealer for the 4th time now getting front water leak looked at. They fixed the back leak by removing the back window, replacing the window seal and re-installed. They also put silicon around the sunroof drain tubs that come out the back of the cab about half way down. I have filed a lemon law case which goes to a hearing on Oct 9th. I hope the rule in my favor to have Ram replace or buy back the truck. Let me know what FCA ends up doing for you.

What steps did you take to for the Lemon Law?

My leak issues are in the rear and front and involve volumes of of water that totally saturate large areas of carpet. It kinda like buying a flood damaged vehicle. I am embarrassed to show anyone my $60k truck. Its a great truck otherwise but there is no excuse for these issues.....maybe rushed to market TOO soon.

I sent FCA my first "Lemon Law" certified letter today requesting satisfaction within 30 days or by-back.

I thought the water leaks for the carpet were determined to be lose plugs between the cab and bed.

Dan1989......my front leak was from a inner fender fabrication that was not completely sealed when robotically assembled....tech said it look as if the machine ran out of sealant during the procedure. They sealed it manually and it seems to be working for now....drove through tropical storm on Sunday and my floors are dry…..back leak was from drain tubes....I looked on the dealer lot and EVERY Limited model in stock had the grommets out of the cab so I believe that IS a wide spread problem. I bet many owners don't check under the rear rudder mat......but you should.

FCA sent me a letter stating that they received my Lemon Law letter....that is as far as I got with them...if my carpet gets wet again I WILL make some legal noise .

Good luck...man I really know the aggravation that this crap causes

I will be one of the few who will chime in when I don't have that issue. Some others but no leaks.

clarkehaven, thank you so much for this info. I gave this info to my service manager today hoping it will give them some direction on the fix. They had no idea where the water leak was and sent my truck to a local body shop they use for their repairs to see if they could figure it out. I wonder if our trucks have the same build date? My trucks build date is 3/2018.

marcd118...I opened a case with Ram customer service 800-992-1997 to let them know the leak issues I was having and asked how I can check into my truck replacement options. They told me to look in the lemon law book that came with my truck, it was in with my owner manual info. The book had a link to the National Center for Dispute Settlement (NCDS) www.ncds.org. I filled out the information on thier website to see if my issue qualified for a case and it did. They created a case which goes to a hearing on 10/9 to decide what I qualify for. Hope this helps.

I am also having water leak issues on my passenger's side. We will see if they can figure it out. It is very disappointing.

I has also an issue with a senor alarming not turning off and volume seeming to turnup but no sound. Restarted truck numerous times to the computer to reset. Worked, but took many tries.

Clarkehaven...Can you give me the name of the dealer and service manager/tech that fixed your issue? I just got my truck back for the 5th time from my dealer and still not fixed. They are very lazy and not willing to get to the bottom of it! Do you know if they had to remove your truck's front fender and hood to get to this area? There is such a lack of communication on how to fix and I realize that its still early in the game. It would be great if I could put my service manager in touch with your dealer tech to find out how to fix this. I also have a case open with RAM customer service and would like to update them with the name of your dealer that found the fix. I also have them looking into a star case to help gather details from other dealerships on this.

Dan1989........Safford Ram of Winchester VA was the service center that I used.....It is not where I bought my truck. I think I was fortunate to get a very competent tech (Chris) and I know he said he documented what he found.

Hi BeardedRam,
We're sorry to hear about this. If you choose to have your dealer look into these concerns, you can also send us a private message so we can address any question you may have while your truck is being serviced.

Here's my .02. This is like a customer experience at a retail store or a call center. If someone does a good job no one says a word. If they get crappy service then the world needs to know about it.

I've only got 300 on mine. And was just out in the rain yesterday. No issues with leaks. And my uconnect is finally realizing I dont live in Toledo or eastern time. That's been my only issue so far.

It seems that the front clunk is a problem affecting many vehicles. I am really concerned about the water leaks in the driver/compartments. Are a lot of you experiencing this issue?
I have the leak and the clunk noise......on my 2019 Limited with 2,308 miles on it.
I'm trying to get into the dealer to look at it.....I was so excited about this truck and that has turned into disappointment.

I work at a Ram dealership and bought a 2019 Rebel, also having issues with f=driver side floor being soaked. Also the back up camera keeps getting stuck on and stays on the entire trip and nothing else will work, cant turn screen off either. Agree super frustrating for a$60k plus truck....very hard to tell my customer they are great when these issues are so common.

Every brand will have problems to some extent, specially on redesigned models, be it design issues or QC being trained on specific areas, but, you know what torques my jaw, what really makes me fume? The fact that these are not new issues. They have been known for a about a year now, and yet, we still see brand new trucks leaving the factory with leaks, UConnect issues, brake squeal, etc, etc, etc. There’s absolutely no friggin excuse for these to still be a thing. Zero, zilch, nada. This is on FCA, and the full blame is squarely on them.

Feel free to forward this to whomever needs to read this, RAM Cares.
