37000 on my 2019 currently, had 129000 on my 2014 when I traded it in. My 2009 had 83000. Dads 2014 has 102000, his 2011 had 142000 when he traded that in. All hemis, had a 3 way coolant bypass valve go out on one. Maintenance stuff on all the others... including many popped exhaust manifold bolts.

When I sold my 2006 it had 140k miles on it, no issues. My 2014 did have the lifter issue at 105’000 miles. I’m hoping I was one of the “rare occurrences” so I purchased a 2020 with my fingers crossed. 8k so far, hopefully Lightning doesn’t strike twice.

56k on my 2019 Hemi and no drivetrain issues at all.

Use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and Redline on oil changes with Royal purple filter and change oil between 5-6k miles.

Had a 2008 Hemi 300C AWD I bought in 2016 with 115K. No idea of previous service history. It had 148K when I sold it in 2019. Motor never opened up. zero oil leaks, used no oil, no ticks (hear belts only) . Other than normal maintenance (plugs, belts, filters). Items that failed: replaced oil pressure sender at 145K ($20. part) , Crank position sensor ($125 installed at independent shop, dead of Winter) at 132K, Radiator and Waterpump let go at 138K ($148 in parts) . Engine computer contacts needed cleaning at 125K making car stuck in MDS (4 cylinders all the time) (zero cost) , Alternator (known early issue and not recalled) rebuilt at 118K ($85). All were easy swaps too, done in my garage and each item took less than 1.5 hours of my (and Sons) time. Great motor design and easy service to components. I should hope its still on the road today. This is why I bought my 2020 Ram Hemi. Now the 2008 5 speed tranny was a different story, it was never good.....but you asked about motor.

My other 2013 Hemi 300S AWD bought with 26K in 2015 and Sold with 75K in 2020. No issues at all. Timing chain and Alternator recall. Oil and filters. But it sounded like a singer sewing machine from day 1 and the day I sold it. Foolishly bought an $1100 MOPAR lifetime powertrain warranty. Never used it in 5 years. 5 speed tranny was the best.

My 2010 traded at 104,000 had a broken exhaust stud replaced at 97K. No other problems.

My 2014 traded at 98,000 miles never had any engine problems. ABS Control Module was replaced at 18,000 miles.

My current '19 Ram 1500 at 45,500 miles has had a number of assembly quality issues, none serious (leaking rear stop light and window). Zero drivetrain problems.

Best regards,
Dusty

Naturally, after I purchase my first Ram with a Hemi, I'm coming across more and more info related to cam shaft and / or lifter roller failure apparently lubrication related. There are a couple threads on here right now discussing it. I guess I'm looking to quell my sudden apprehension with my new truck.

Any 5th gen oil related engine failures? How many miles did you run your previous Hemi?
I just got my 2011. Found one with 65k miles🥹🤌🏽
so far so good.

2020 Hemi with 43K miles. got Nuesed, no failures that I am aware of during previous ownership and none with me. I am big on preventive maintenance and oil changes, hope to ward off evil spirits of failure in the future.

My 2014 ate the cam at about 110k, if that helps.
