Anyone have a Pentastar 3.6 1500? Wondering if anyone's finding their engine running hot, and how hot is "normal"?
Have had mine for 2 months and 2300km (1600mi) and engine is often running between 105 and 115 Celsius (220 to 240F). This is with NO load and running in cool outside ambient temps of 9C (48F). See pic - running 114C (238F in very cool ambient temps)!!
What is everyones thoughts? Any cause for concern? I checked the coolant level and its normal. Was thinking maybe air in the cooling system or a bad tstat... just seems it's running too hot for an engine that is not working (eg towing etc). Bought the 3.6 for longevity after reading reports of many going 200k+ miles, but concerned with those temps.....
