Many speculating here on whether the RAM is more/less problematic than other makes....went to Car Complaints to view posted NHTSA/owner issues for the 2019 model years of the major truck makers. Keep in mind that Toyota hasn't been overhauled in over 5 years while RAM redesigned from the ground up, and GM was mostly structural changes with Ford just trim changes.
Data (owner complaints, manufacturer TSBs, and manufacturer recalls) from the website is as follows with some modification because of some inconsistencies in the numbers reported:
2019 RAM ....294 complaints / 101 TSBs / 13 recalls (TSB # was reduced from 294 because of data counted from 2015/16/17/18 model reports)
2019 GMC ....66 complaints / 452 TSBs / 1 recall (complaints & TSB is median between GMC/Chevy reports since models diffs are mostly cosmetic AND Chevy TSB # changes when you click on category...used lower # to calculate)
2019 Ford ....30 complaints / 121 TSBs / 3 recalls (next oldest design....complaints # changes from 33 when you click on category?....used lower number)
2019 Toyo ....15 complaints / 89 TSBs / 4 recalls (it's a 12 year old model basically so numbers VERY low....complaints/TSB #s change so used number after clicking on category)
