I didn't really have an issue with my black 2014, still looked brand new after 4.5 years. I pressure wash truck well before washing and dip mit frequently keeping lots of water/soap on it for good lubrication.

My last two Rams got washed regularly at the local Delta Sonic car wash. I pay a monthly fee ($26.95) and have "unlimited" washes, which in reality is one wash a day. I've gotten my monies worth!

My last two Rams were black. Unfortunately, they start showing swirl marks pretty early, so I waxed the 2010 a lot. By the time I got the 2014 my arm was getting pretty tired with a bi-weekly wax routine. So in it's third year I got it detailed which made it look new again...for a while.

I had Ziebart Diamond Gloss installed on the 2019. I was reluctant at first because it's kind of pricey and I was skeptical of the promise. However, I am glad to report that after 100 or so machines washes there are no signs of any scratches, much less swirl marks. The paint is exceptionally bright and shinny.

This truck will probably never see any wax applied in its life.

Best regards,
Dusty

All you need. Just a hint of water as well.

Get your truck a ceramic coating and then all you have to do to wash it is run a steady stream of water down the sides and watch the dirt run off (or drive through a rain storm) Every couple of weeks bust out the foam cannon and clean it with minimal scrubbing. The less actual touching and rubbing the less chance of scratching.
