Mine has done the two beeps on remote start from new. There might be something in the settings to disable it.
Realized that and edited my reply. There is a way to disable the two beeps that occur with remote start. But that is not what the OP is experiencing or asking.
Yeah, starting in cabin. It's getting annoying. I'll have to dive into the owners manual and see what I can find. Maybe an audible alert to let people know your starting the truck?Mine has done the two beeps on remote! start from new. There might be something in the settings to disable it.
If you are talking about starting in cab, then that's a new one.
so I have a more recent but similar issue. I have had my brand new 2023 1500 Laramie since February. About a month ago my truck started giving me a double honk of the horn when starting about 50-75% of the time. I tried different combinations of remote start Vs. button start. It would do it intermittently either way.Hi, this problem recently started. It happens about half of the time. 2 quick beeps upon starting the truck. 21' Laramie. Google only shows remote start.
Did you ever fix this? Just bought a used 20 Laramie and currently experiencing thisMy 21 Rebel is sounding the horn once after I start in the cabin with the push start , people in the parking lot think I’m beeping at them , turned everything off I can think of and dealer has no clue.. help
Where did they disconnect the trailer wiring harness, @ the rear bumper, under the hood ?. I'm chasing the same double honk on starting among other issues.so I have a more recent but similar issue. I saw a reply that mentioned they had a similar issue and that by removing the uninstalled trailer TPM sensors from the glovebox solved their issue. Apparently the truck is looking for the sensors and can not find them. I tried that but it did not resolve my issue.
Finally brought it to the dealer last Thursday and so far they and the factory are stumped. It has been a week. What the advisor can tell me so far is it does seem to be related to the TPM sensors. Not sure if the trailer or the truck tire sensors. I guess when you fill the tires on the truck it is supposed to "double honk" when it gets to the correct pressure. The dealer can not figure out why it is going off when starting the truck. They have tried turning anything off in the programming that has to do with honking. The factory has had the dealer tech do tons of testing and troubleshooting and they are still trying to figure it out. They have been able to eliminate the problem by disconnecting the trailer wire harness, but as soon as it's connected, it starts up again with the double honks.
According to the service advisor the factory has taken an interest and is really working with their tech as they think there maybe a bigger issue that is affecting a lot more trucks with the issue that they have not heard about yet.
Sorry for the long post, I'll keep you updated when I hear more from them.
