Anyone else having an issue with the purge or boost hoses popping off? I have the HO engine and twice now (once at 160 miles and again at 1650 miles) when I am approaching a stop sign on a road trip (not in town driving so far) the CEL dings and comes on and the truck starts idling rough (bouncing up and down on the tachometer). Both times it has been pressure popping off a hose. Dealership says now that Engineers are aware and are working a solution for the HO engine that will involve better clamps on the hoses so they will stay on with the higher pressures (I am assuming the SO and HO engines have the same hoses/connections). Will likely be a recall or something of that nature once they get the design resolved and tested and manufactured). In the meantime, I'll just have to live with it and keep putting the hose back on when it pops off.

Dealer put a black zip tie on it around the connection to help hold it on. Can barely see it cause everything else in there is black also.
I may take it off and put a pink one on it just for a splash of color. LOL

Glad to know I am not the only one. New longhorn and this has happened twice now…not empressed trying to get out of an intersection with my trailer behind me in the middle of Calgary. First time happened could barely keep engine running to get the side of road. I did find the hose by chance and put back on. Instant fix. Second time I did McGiver the hose to get home. into dealer asap and will be able to show them that it is an issue . I’ll show them this thread. Also put in a ticket to Mopar. thanks ram group. D

Update
made it home after the purge hose popping off again used balck tape and zip tie to hold it. Into dealer shop and they looked at it ... Yup the hose is not locking in place they ordered /back ordered new hose ...Tech re applied balck electrical tape as the fix. For anyone that has rough idle or similar miss fires take a look at the hose. it may nor be popped all the way off and just leaking air...this will make the engine run rough for sure.

Is there an updated version? You have a part number? I still have the zip ties holding mine and didn't want to do anything different as it has been working with no issues for several thousand miles.

Just had the same thing happen to my 1 week old Ram 1500 Limited with the HO motor. Dealer popped mine back on and sent me on my way, it happened again tonight after about 200 miles. Total miles on truck are 1123. Not sure I want to even bother going back to dealer and wasting my time when I can just zip tie it myself.

This happened to me twice. I had the dealer replace it only to have pop-off again under high boost conditions. The is a manufacturer defect. I just double zip-tied it and haven't had an issue since

Updated version installed for past 2 weeks - No issues. As for as a part number look at the number on your hose the last letter should be E as that represents the latest upgrade. I will try to remember to check and get the whole number later

Cool. Can you get a picture to us of what it looks like? Curious as to the "fix".

I also had a new hose installed and the new hose has a slide lock on it so has had no issue. pictures of new hose 20250820_110615.jpg20250820_110609.jpg

zip tie is on the upper hose that also pulled off and needs an update hose .....will have dealer look at that after our cross country trip

I have taken my Limited out to Colorado (13 hour drive one way) a couple of times now and it's been fine (almost 9,300 miles did the first oil change at approximately 5,500 miles). About the only issue I have is with the transmission being jerky at low speeds but I had that same issue with my 2014 Limited with the Hemi. But thanks for posting this in case I experience that issue..
