Spends too much time on here
After a frustrating time dealing with a DC based forum sponsor, I gave up in disgust and settled on a local dealer (who is known to have a lot of work trucks). Ended up getting what I wanted, a 19 Limited, little extra (no level 1, just what the dealer had, pano sunroof, hemi, 3.21, 22’s, antislip, +500 for Ivory). I test drove a Laramie E Torque 6 with 3.55’s, torquey but nothing like the hemi. Wife picked the colors since its hers (Ivory with Indigo Frost). Ended up paying the base price ($56), the 8K options was the discount. I quoted them the True Car price which was within $400 of what they wanted, so we split the diff. I’m not a big negotiator, dont really care, thats why I work. Silky smooth ride and she loves the appointments (female) and interior look. I’m just glad she’s happy. After 35 years, I don’t argue.
I recommend being very careful dealing over the phone/text/email with big volume dealers, “miscommunication” happens and feathers get ruffled. Eye to eye works much better for me. Read the fine print, the breaking point was freight (delivery) being left out of the price and added back in after their subtotal. That did it.
80 whole miles on it, were happy.
