My stickers still in the database and I purchased mine 9/18. I wonder why they would waste their time removing those stickers

Prolly to further their "other business venture" of having consumers that don't know the trick pay $7.99 for them...lol They must've missed yours, because more often than not when we were looking at used 2019's before hubby bought his new 2019 4x4, we only could find a handful using the trick, most would not come up... But to me, even better is the Equiment List website.. Not sure how it maintains its data base, so i don't know if ONCE sold you can't find it, but if you want to know EVERY single component on ur vehicle when shopping, pop your vin in there : )

No that isn't so, as they are required BY LAW to list the selling price/ then the rebates EVERYONE qualifies for, THEN separate from "Sale Price including rebates" they are to show "Conditional Price" and that will include all of the rebates...(military/loyalty etc)

But be warned, IF they have put dealer add ons of ANY sort, they are not obligated to disclose that UNTIL they give you a Buyers order, they are only required in the fine print to say a quick statement about MSRP does not includer Dealer Add ons... But most of those you can tell them to keep (unless its window tint...lol)
I see it all the time around here. The MSRP will be up top, crossed out, then the unattainable sale price right below it, that's it. Then when you scroll down to the very bottom of the ad in the really small fine print is the disclaimers. So technically you're right but they have cute little work-arounds to get their units listed first when people are shopping price priority. If this is your first rodeo you can easily get blind sided. My dealer has a $66200 Limited, listed sale price $53979. No other figures around. But all the way at the bottom if you bust out a really good pair of reading glasses you'll see this.

Hello everyone,
If nothing changes I’m about to purchase a 2019 ram limited with 22k miles for $48k. I was shopping for a used platinum f150 (2nd one) and I saw the ram and was blown away. I couldn’t afford a new one so I looked around for a deal on a used one. This one came up and it comes with a backflip tonneau as well. Am I getting a good deal? I am definitely buying a mopar maximum care warranty for $1750 5/100k but I just want to make sure I couldn’t do better getting new. What do y’all think?
I bought my Longhorn new off the lot from Nyle Maxwell in Austin in February. The truck listed for about $63,500 and I paid right at $52k. An 18% percent discount. Depending on the options and original MSRP on the Limited that you’re looking at, $48k might be a fair price for a truck with 22k miles.

lol that's NOT the first time i've heard that : ) ty : )

But to make an argument for the other side, i know some people are not willing to go thru THAT much, they just want a "decent deal, fair amount of discounting" and they are happy to be on their way. If Oncehadadakota is that type of shopper, he will be very satisfied with 48K if his truck is everything he wants... For ME personally, it will "keep me awake" if i don't feel i squeezed every red cent out of the dealer, but i know not everyone is like that....lol : )
Well you just described me. “Live and let live”. Maybe it came from years ago when I was a starving handyman trying to support a family. I bid a painting job and barely broke even on materials and a measly $10 hour labor rate. When I had finished cleaning up and presented my bill, the retired (hopefully long dead) guy said “Here’s 90%, I never pay anyone 100% of what they want.” Since I couldn’t scrape the paint off I just told him “Fine but never call me again for anything”. Since then I don’t push for every last bit, always remembering Mr. Sh*thead.

I’ll repeat my buying experience shortest version just once more.
A forum sponsor in DC had one of those $12k off deals on a limited, 33 gal tank, 3.92, antispin, just what I wanted, and like you said, listed every rebate ever thought of to include stupid stuff like Realtor and FFA or crap like that. Anyway, I almost made the 12 hour trip up when the very last email had the document scanned in with the $1695 freight fee added on at the very bottom. Yep, the dealer had not included it up front and was going to charge me another $1695 after all rebates.
Pissed off I told them no and thus not only saved the 12 hour drive but gave the business to a dealer an hour away, thus supporting my local economy. Did I end up paying more? Probably so as I only got $8500 off my Limited, and gave up the 33 gal tank and the 3.92 gears. Do I really care? No and I won’t do the long distance deal thing again.
Last example - Dillon RAM in Idaho had a good advertised price and offered to pick me up at the airport. Now the issue there is they know they have you as you have paid for a 1 way plane ticket and have to buy something so as to get home, or waste a hotel and another 1 way fare... You’ve lost all negotiating power that way. At least if you drive in you can drive away.

Thanks for all those responses I am that guy who wants to get a great deal and I know sometimes you just have to say it is what it is and go for it. I would never buy if I was looking for the perfect deal. I think I’ll go for it! The truck is all and more I could want right down to the backflip Bed liner thanks everyone

oh i get that too. And just for the record, i'm not a miser when it comes to almost anything else : ) We just had a slab of cement laid, and it was done as an "on the side job" of an independent contractor. He gave us a better price than a WELL known local company, beat it by a 1000 bucks and came recommended, and that was good enough for me.. He did a fantastic job : ) Those guys gotta eat too, and i soooo get that...

But Car Dealers are the exception, because the ONLY way you get their "best price" is to negotiate like a banshee, and again, that's ONLY if you're up for that kind of thing, they don't just "lay down", ya gotta fight 'em to the death for their best price, to me, its worth it. Keep in mind we traded out of about 15 RAMS in 7 or 8 years, so if we don't "do battle" we'd get soooo screwed .... lol

Some don't have the patience for that nonsense and that's ok too- I am NOT the sort to say to someone "you paid WHAT?!" If they're happy, i'm happy : )

Yep, I have to quit looking cause’ if there’s not a sales contract posted then you never know. It’s like in Vegas, the saying, “winners didn’t build those palaces (casinos). Same with the dealerships, there’s enough profit from all the “profit centers” in them (parts, service, body, new, resale) that they do just fine.

You’ve bought and sold enough you should try for the best deal. Me, I’ve had 3 new cars in hmm, 10 years and two only lasted a single year (liquidated to buy a house).

Where they get you is that they list EVERY rebate available in the price even though nobody qualifies for every rebate. Then when you sit down after getting all hot on the truck they hit you with the reality. For example based on your ad pic, not in the military??? scratch that $500 rebate off the price. I did my homework and figured out every rebate I qualified for so I knew what to scratch off the list. Dealers sometimes hate prepared buyers but I counter that by finding the unit I want first then telling them "this is going to be the easiest sale you ever made" I even pre-qualify my financing. I request an out the door price, if I like the number I go in person for a quick test ride. If all goes well I give them my finance info, qiuckly tell the upsell dept I don't want your $1000 wax job and I roll out in my new ride.

Do you happen to have a link for all the rebates available? I haven't seen a all inclusive list of all rebates/incentives.
Thanks

The price seems a little high I would suggest looking a new one to see how close you can come to the used one. The miles are higher for a newer model truck that has been out almost a year

High miles isn’t a bad thing, you might see that as more highway usage than in town stop and go. As long as the maintenance has been done and the mileage debit has been applied, nothing wrong with someone else eating the initial year’s depreciation. Thats a big “if” on maintenance however I bought a 2014 Ford Edge in 2015 from the original owner, I could see the service work from the Ford Oasis report so I wasn’t especially concerned. Turned out to be a very good vehicle, still have it 4 years later.

I realize they are a big moneymaker and I haven’t read many posts or threads about how well FCA covers things. I did read about the guy on “disillusioned” who didn’t keep his oil change receipts (parts) to prove his maintenance. Thats sad but having an insurance background I can tell you if the contract says “this has to be done”, then that’s the way they will adjust it. There’s very little “goodwill” with an insurance company. I’ve seen it but not often at all (usually only very big clients or very long term insureds, like 30+ years).

The problem is Fiat doesn’t say “this has to be done”. They simply say you “should”. Big difference. They also do not inform the customer and leave it up to them to find that buried text and then interpret it as “must be done. I would like to see things changed in the industry and customers have hugely important details liked this signed off on.... or at least initialed. That will never happen though because they count on having the ability to deny..... even when they know it’s not the customers fault for a given failure. It’s shady and borderline unethical.

It does seem wrong that they won’t try to meet a person halfway at least but thats the way it is. If you don’t fully read the owners manual and research all the service requirements then you can miss a “recommended” (meaning required) service interval and poof, your warranty can be voided. The oil change receipt story probably is one of several. Anytime there is an “unlimited” warranty you’ve got to wonder just what it takes to satisfy them you did your part. Or, you do your part but the previous owner did not and they get you on that one...

Guess thats why some buyers just get an inspection done from a reliable mechanic and then do their own service schedule, and forget that there was any warranty, if there was one. You are betting there will be a problem and they are betting there won’t, thats all insurance is.

Something changed! I got what I think is a great deal $16k off msrp of $67k means I got a limited brand new for only a bit over 51k! That’s only 2k more than the used one and this one has the e-torque engine! I was told that Ram hasn’t had rebates like this is 4 years so I don’t know how true that is but I sure know I’m happy I don’t buy the used one! Now if I can just figure out how to not have a delay while playing Bluetooth videos on my phone
