Hello everyone....

I'm trying to find out before going to the dealership for information about the Headlight Accent Light.
I notice that the right side lower accent light has stopped working. WTH, $60k truck and about a year old, not working.
Is the led bulb replaceable or does the whole headlight unit need replacing?
I'm afraid it may be even a harness/wire issue who knows. When it becomes electrical, then the nightmares start.

Thanks for any help.

They will have to replace the entire headlight. The headlight assembly is sealed from the factory and the accent lights are LED boards with a bunch of LED chips on them that are sealed up inside of the assembly. The only way to open them is a hack procedure by baking them in an oven then prying them open. Its what has to be done to do the custom headlight paint jobs you see on some trucks like this one below.

Can you take a picture of the light that's out? I am interested in knowing which one so I can monitor my lights.

WOW....that's great, I wonder how much this will cost me. Bad design on Ram's part in not thinking this one out. Because no matter what, over time lights will die and need replacing.

If you look at Billet1500 picture he posted. Its the lower accent light bar under the headlight lamps.

Warranty should cover this as it's not a "wear and tear" or user-replaceable item I assume? Hope so anyways! Had an LED tail on my last RAM covered under warranty when it died so imagine the headlights should be as well now.

Agreed. This should be a warranty item. If your dealer gives you crap I would call FCA directly and open a case. I have had to do this in the past and they worked it out with the dealer to get it taken care of.

Sure it will be a full replacement, I had a tail light go out at 7k miles but they replaced it without any issues. Just go to your dealership and have them take a look at it.

It should be warrantied unless you're outside of the 36k miles.

I am havin this same issue on my 19 Limited, 20k miles. Before I take it to the dealer, I was curious what they ended up doing to fix the op’s issue.

With all the complaints of moisture in the headlights, hope this isn’t the first of many corrosion issues to start creeping up on these headlights
