What is everyone doing for this? I have a tonneau cover on the back so an over the paid rack might not be an option. Options with where you got it/model numbers would be awesome.

I use the Yakima OverHaul HD, I don't have a tonneau cover. But the Yakima does work with one or two covers like the retrax.

If you go with the Yakima above just be aware that the stands are sold separately from the crossbars.

I’d love to see a so.union for Rambox trucks as well. So far I haven’t found an overhead rack that is compatible.

Here is what I use.
Lomax hard trifold tonneau with the ADARAC aluminum pro rack (works with other inside mounted tonneaus too. Could get the non-pro rack if you have a soft roll up tonneau.

With rambox there is the nuthouse rack and another mfr but they are $$$. Can search forum for those and some self made ones.

I do not suggest doing this 20190929_160643.jpg

It worked fine...but I got yelled at by the kayak haulers because they say they will pop right out. I did notice the strap loosened up. May be I have just been lucky as we usually only take them about 40 mins from home

My the difference an 8 fot bed makes. Never could take the kayaks and the camper with the 6 foot bed.

we built a rack on top of my camper shell that i never really got to use, but it was intended for kayaks. cost me about $150 in hardware, paint, and caps. you could possibly do the same for your tonneau? i never had leaks with it.
