Grinding noise after turning truck off - need help locating it

Off topic, but I have mine switched to auto on when shifted to park. It is supposed to auto off when shifted out of park, but it only does about 90% of the time. Can't find a pattern or obvious reason for it doing that.

Ha. Yeah I turned off the e-brake after the first time it slammed my truck into park when backing into a parking spot and the sensors saw a shadow. Felt like my engine seized up.
Yes. This is what I have turned off. Does this setting also control the ebrake when in park?

It's the same noise that is made when I put my parking brake on. What it makes me think is that it engages the electric brake to see how much pad life is left, then releases immediately.

Found it. It’s under settings brakes

also, I have this disabled and do not see the park brake lighting up when I put it in park. So this shouldn’t be the noise? I really haven’t heard it in days so not sure
