Been lurking around for a little bit on here, soaking up all the info on the DT Ram. I must say it's refreshing to find an active forum page again, rather than just social media pages!
Took delivery of my 2021 Laramie about a month ago, so I thought I'd introduce myself and provide a bit of a rundown of current and planned mods. Obviously we're a bit more limited with available parts and accessories here in Oz, and the market here for this sort of ute (oops, I mean truck
) is a drop in the ocean compared to you guys in the States. Total new car sales in Oz hover around the million mark, you guys sell nearly twice that just in Rams, Silverados and F Trucks! But they are gaining in popularity here now that there is dealer backed RHD conversions being done, and the dealers sell everything they can get their hands on. Anyone down here who has ordered a new Ram recently won't see it until early next year at best.
Anyway, enough of the chit-chat, onto the details!
2021 Laramie, Diamond Black Crystal with Tech Pack, Ram boxes, electric side steps, 12.4" UConnect & 3.92 diff.
Already done;
- Borla ATAK exhaust
- Front window tint
- STEK PPF
Ordered and awaiting delivery;
- Dobinsons 3/2" lift with monotube shocks and UCA's
- 20x9 +1 Fuel Torque rims. Yet to confirm tyre choice, but most likely 35" Yokohama Geolander X-AT of BFG KO2 (Falken AT3W would be my choice, but unfortunately can't get them down here in an appropriate 35" size)
Still to come;
- Custom tray and canopy with 12v setup. Onboard water, air compressor, awning etc etc
- Auxiliary lighting
- UHF radio
- Front winch bar
- Underbody protection/skid plates
- Some customised 12v interior items that I'm currently working on
- More things that I've probably forgotten
I'll be sure to keep this post updated with progress on all the mods, let you guys know how we roll here down under!
