This is going to sound stupid, but here we go. After 2 months of ownership, my biggest issue so far with the truck is during gas fill-ups, the gas nozzle will repeatedly click off. Pump slow, click. Pump fast, click. Pull nozzle out some, click. Rotated the damn thing, click. No exaggerating it happens every time at least 10 times per fill up. I can't be the only one having this issue?

2021 Bighorn if that matters

It’s not just you. It’s a well known issue. The resolution seems to be the replacement of the fuel tank.

Or the vapor canister or the fill neck. It all depends on what the actual issue is causing the nozzle to click off

Do a. Search plenty of discussion about this topic already.

Have read a couple of threads about this but am curious if this still an issue with recent Rams as well?

I had the issue initially, where it would click off a few times, but it essentially went away, I don't know why, but hadn't happened in years.

Definitely check with your dealer, hopefully it's just the vapor cannister filter.

On a somewhat similar issue, my new Waverunner had an issue taking on fuel, they found that the vapor filter was not letting the air out while fueling causing a backup.

Same problem. Just replaced my vapor canister (charcoal) and problem solved. Make sure you aren't topping off when filling up with gas. I was told that was the cause of the problem.

Been happening to me as well. Took 10 mins with changing to a diff pump & then pulling nozzle out 15x to only get 3 gallons before I said F it.

For me, some pumps work, some don't. Some work too much, and will overflow if I'm not careful.

I've had my 21 Longhorn since Day 1...75k miles and never topped off fuel, but now I can't add .5 gallon without the pump stopping. This is why people hate safety crap. There isn't a code to tell you the problem, so just throw money at it (no warranty)...filler neck $$$, tank replacement $$$$$$$, evap cannister $$$$$$. Dammit man, we just want to refuel our trucks!

2025 Limited

Did not happen for the first few months owning. Now has happened a few times over the past few months. Same filling station. Seems random. Bet a lot has to do with nozzle placement and the specific pump handle flow, if it is not due to a true mechanical problem.

1 thing that can cause this problem, is overfilling the tank. Newer cars, with capless fill, can't be filled over a certain point, or gas runs back into the vent, and blocks a check valve. I used to keep pumping, until completely full, or at least up until the next dollar, but now I don't go beyond the next quarter.

I had the same problem with my 2019. Brought it to the dealer at 35k miles to make sure it got fixed under warranty. They replaced the filler neck and said it was fixed.
Some gas stations it was fine and others it kept clicking off. Brought it back after a couple thousand miles later, worried this time they would hit me with a big bill. They quickly informed me that it falls under the emission warranty and that goes to 100k. They replaced the gas tank and no more issues.

Now I just bought a 2023 and the first tank of gas it did it to me. The second tank was fine so we will see. I did notice that the emissions warranty is only to 80k for this year.

I had this issue with my 2018 sport and my coworker just had the same issue with his 22. It’s nota new thing. In both cases the tank had to be replaced. I never overfilled past the first click .
I tried turning the nozzle and just when I thought it worked it started to not work. Replaced the fill tube. Cleaned the already clean charcoal filter beside the fill tube. The vent on top of the tank gets stuck. There’s a tsb out there for it. Can’t remember the number.
