Gas Mileage

the price of gas means nothing to me!
I lived through the shortage of the 1970's
at least we have gas now
give up your booze and cigarettes you will have plenty of gas money to drive your great truck.

Haha, I can make booze, I haven't figured out how to make gasoline.

I guess that's one point for the diesel guys. I could figure out how to make biodiesel if I had too.

but I can't give it up....

Hopefully you are joking about gas/fuel prices meaning nothing. On the economic scale you probably understand how this affects the cost of everything including the cost of money itself? The rise in fuel cost devalues the dollar not only to the average consumer but the country on the world platform.

Yup. The price of gas is the result of the “green new deal”, the fed printing trillions of dollars causing the worst inflation ever, and horrible foreign and domestic policies.

This is what the regime has wanted since Barack Hussain was in the White House. Trying to force you to buy and EV by making you poor.

If I can’t smoke and drink while I’m filling up, then I might as well go full hippie and get an EV.

Well, you forgot the lack of refineries, but way to take the thread over the edge.

Like many of you, I've never reset my Trip B computer. It's showing 24.5mpg. 500 miles of my 7500ish is towing a 25' camper, 300 towing a 12' cargo trailer, and all but about 1000 of the miles have been in the east coast mountains, so not flat. For various reasons, the truck has idled more than I'd like. I'm generally happy with my mileage. Part of me still misses the incredible GDE-tuned mileage I was getting on my Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel, but I'm moving around a lot more vehicle now, so I definitely won't complain.

However, $180+ to completely fill the tank does make me cringe.

$92 for 16 gal @ $5.75
tried last week to eased on my heavy foot but its not fun to drive and it didn't really make all that much difference - too much city driving is what kills my mpg
I am going back to driving the way I enjoy my truck
we are some what screw regardless of our choice for the next few years probably
gas is gonna stay high
some ev's are being marked up even higher than gas cars, 12k, 20k and up if they are even available. not to mentioned the grid is not gonna handle things. I see Texas is in trouble again and here in CA we'll probably be seeing black outs in some areas once the heat waves start to come around

I have not once looked at my gas mileage with this truck.
