Gas mileage v8 without Etorque..... 4wd

Just moved up in the MPG world... 15.1 @ 2200 miles on the truck. A lot of it comes with learning how to drive it. Much different feel compared to my F150 5.0 I traded in for it.

I have 5500 miles on mine and I average 19.7 MPG lifetime and thats including using remote start often and cold Wisconsin winters.

We just about have same set up...

2200ish miles averaging 16.1 MPG. My commute to work is mostly highway, but my job makes me go all over the quad counties. I'd guess my driving is 70% highway, 20% city, 10% offroad (dirt roads/trails).

Considering my Bronco gets 8 on the highway I'm pretty happy :D

I am at 10,000 miles and finally got 15.0 mpg on my last tank. This was about 10% highway, 60% in town stop and go and 30% suburban driving. I ran the hilly PA turnpike last week and got 18.1 mpg . I have the 3.21 and ran my updated Pulsar on tow with Mrs on.

1st fill up 14.9
2nd fill up 15.2
3rd fill up 16.2
Hand calculated 87 octane 70/30 Highway/ City. Normal driving, not trying to get good mileage, sometimes I even spin the tires:eek:

Mine is finally starting to go up over 14, today I actually maintained 17 ish for awhile at 65ish down some back roads. Maybe it will break in, but it does seems pretty low

That being said my old truck being a 15 ram 2wd with 3.21 would never do more than like 18 on the highway at best. So this one being a rebel,I don’t see it really doing any better. I’m sure it will stay in the 15-16 range for an average.

Hit 1000 miles on Thursday, been averaging right at 16 the whole time. Most of my commute is highway, with a bit of traffic.

On a trip this weekend and averaged 18.6 after resetting the trip and driving 300 miles. Had cruise at 75 most of the trip. 3.92 gears.

First towing trip on the way back, hoping to get 10 lol

In a rebel, at 15.1mpg, mostly city.

4500 miles.
Rebel, no air suspension, 3.92 gears, running the stock tires.

Just turned 1000 miles. 70% city and 30% highway. My average is 15.8 - 16.4 mpg.

Since I started using the Fuely App I am at 13.9 MPG. My commute is 25 miles each way, 10 miles of that is 55 mph speed limit, another 12 is 65-70 mph, and the final 3 is actually in town with a 45 mph speed limit with several lights that I usually hit.

My best MPG is 15.2 and that was in February.

I actually towed with mine yesterday for the first time as well. My car trailer weighs 1800 lbs. and had a John Deere Tractor on it that weighs about 2200 lbs. Running 75-78 mph in 7th gear, with a strong crosswind, the truck showed 10.8 MPG. That was about 80 miles.

I am not happy with the MPG of the truck but I am happy with the truck overall. It's finally starting to warm up here in Iowa so I am hoping it gets better.

I finally got 18 ish mpg running 60-70 on backroads over about 150 miles. This is in a rebel. 4K ish miles.

But still averaging like 13 around town and 15 ish at 75-80 on the highway.

I have a big horn crew cab 4x4 with 3.21 gears within the next getting a 23ft center console boat. Fully loaded with gas and freshwater weight should be around 6k.... am I to expect 8mpg? I do have brake control

Towed 350 miles through Kentucky and Ohio yesterday. 8.5 mpg going 65 mph most of the way. This is with a 28’ enclosed trailer weighing about 10,000 lb. Not quite what I was hoping for.

Back at 16.3 during my commute this morning.

Cold weather about 20 mpg average. Warm weather about 22 average. Hemi and don't know the gear ratio.

In town I avg around 8-10 MPG (see my sig).

This is normal for me as I have a 1 mile commute each way, which kills my mileage in any vehicle I’ve have owned.
Whenever I get to drive longer, and using Fwys etc, it’ much better, around 14-15.

Should be getting around 19-20 MPG when I drive to Florida in June (got around 18 when it was two days old on a similar trip last year), so I am thinking now that I have almost 5k miles, it should be a little better.

Very happy with the truck so MPG doesn’t really concern me that much since I fill up about once every three weeks or so anyway...

Cheers
