Looking for a 22+ G/T owner here that would be willing to provide a measurement template guide to assist in properly placing the factory G/T decals on the rear bedsides. I am specifically looking for a rambox version, but both versions with and without would be helpful to the community as a whole as well.

Doesn't matter if you have a Laramie G/T or Rebel G/T variant, all would be the same.

OEM Mopar part numbers for the two sides and two-color variants (oem is different than aftermarket ones out there, learned that, go oem imo)
Note: Only one p# for each color as same for either left or right.
Black left and or right side: 68529637AA
Gray left and or right side: 68529638AA

ChatGPT says:

Measurements for 22+ Ram 1500 G/T (RamBox)
RamBox trucks have a slightly lower available surface because of the lid seam.
Vertical position:
1.75" – 2.0" (≈44–51 mm) below the bedside crease
(the decal moves up slightly so it doesn’t touch the RamBox lid gap).
Horizontal position:
Same as non-RamBox: 7.0" – 7.5" from the cab seam.
Note: Some owners push to 8" depending on decal size to avoid lid curvature.

Thanks, but not accurate and not for the g/t decal, cannot trust ai for everything. Need someone to actually measure theirs.

These pics are Driver's/Left side on 2024 Laramie G/T with Ramboxes.

(1) Front edge of box (near cab) to edge of "G" is 43.5"

(2) Horizontal body line/crease behind wheel well to bottom of "T" is 13.625"

(3) Tailgate light edge to point of "T" is 3.625" (tough to measure, but going straight across top of "T" and measured at the very point of the "T")

(4) Bottom edge of the Rambox to the top of the "G" is 1.0625" and to the top of the "Slash" between "G"/"T" is 0.75"

ALL these measurements are to the beginning of the CLEAR tape edge around the G/T letters..add 0.0625" (1/16") to these measurements if measuring to the actual colored letter. The clear border is 1/16" all around the G/T letters.

Sorry, tough to see where end of tape measure is starting in these pics..best I could do without a seamstress tape measure.

Got er done, albeit will need to reorder another set for the summer time as this was not a good idea doing in 30 degree weather with a heater blowing on it and heat gun. Stuck well but have air in it, hopefully will settle out believe is the nature of the decal material too sitting on a shelf for years.

I chose the black version even though they are more of a dark matte grey, blends in perfectly.

Always use wet application when applying decals. Allows you to work out air bubbles. Mix of water and isopropyl alcohol and some add in a dash of dish soap. This also allows you to be able to reposition the decal should you not get it perfect, before squeegeeing out the water. Other than that, looks good from here. Id be willing to bet if you compare 10 different trucks with factory applied decals, there would be variance in position. So no need to be this detailed in position based off one measurement.

I thought about doing a wet application but with the temps I was not going to as even the rinseless, iso and then prep spray used to prep was not evaporating and took a few microfibers to get dry along with heat. I have done a lot of various decals over the years and successful with my methods until this one unfortunately. I personally have not had good success with the wet method so always do dry but do agree with the wet. Simply info on these decals or any for the trucks has no info to go off of application method like what you would see in the vinyl industry they all state only or preferred dry vs wet. I believe it was more due to the temperature more than anything as I really should not had been doing it, but eager and impatient so if it cost me 80 so be it and Ill redo come spring.

WELL of course I stumbled across this just now... factory decals should only be installed between 70 and 98 deg f and use soap/water mix for a wet application. Dam and suppose I will buy another set and wait till summer to do the wet method. @HSKR R/T you were right!

Alot of other info buried in this recall notice when I was trying to find the pdf document of the mft bed step installation instructions as the previous owner removed it and never put it back on so I bought one second hand and is missing the hardware since they shipped it with no packaging and came it a blown out box, smh so the hardware disappeared along the way in transit.

Check this out:

And for those with built to serve which I am a vet and was considering to adding these if not doing a g/t conversion/merge.
Here are the factory official measurements pulled from the link in prior response:

Fun y thing with the decals, there were some that shipped from factory with them installed backwards, as I with stars to the back. Not very many, but I have seen pictures. It's amazing how many people don't know proper flag etiquette with orientation on vehicles. See it all the time with aftermarket decals and badges. And you will have people actually argue with you about it.

Interesting..what a conundrum!
The Stars lead the Stripes, but if installed backwards, part of my brain would say "it's a cool one off and should be left that way", but the other part of my brain says "no way, they have to be changed"..and "the arguments of people pointing them out as wrong won't be worth it".

I feel like Ram should have educated their employees better on "Flag Etiquette"..still, Interesting story!
