Nature is incredible. Reminds me of a chickadee I noticed one day hanging around my front window awning. Wondered what he was doing and watched him for a bit, then he flew up and hung upside-down on a paper wasp nest and started tearing it apart. It was a small nest, and most of the residents had apparently gone off to forage. He picked at it for about a half minute, then came up with a little white grub wriggling in his mouth, which he carried off to dine on. Or maybe feed to his own babies. I had never thought of chickadees as predators until then.
