Apparently so. Just when I think nothing that comes out of CA will surprise me ...
I guess this means we can all just opt out of alerts for groups we don't care about.

Democrats ALWAYS bring up race but then claim Republicans are the racist ones.
I was talking about this with my wife. What possible good can come of this? How is this not already covered by Amber Alert? Are there people who receive the alert on their phones then decide to respond or not respond based on the child's ethnicity? Anyone who reacts, "Oh, it's just Ebony" or "Oh, it's just Amber" are equally bigoted. And where are our Esmeralda Alerts, Lohitika Alerts, and Jade Alerts?
Just mode ridiculous virtue signaling out of California.

It is ridiculous. Just like “all lives matter” is racist.
Colorado has almost gone full R* but not like that.
We have as many special class alerts as there are genders I guess.
We have :
Amber Alert (child)
Missing Persons with Developmental Disabilities Alert
Missing Senior Citizen Alert (Silver Alert)
Medina Alert (Hit and Run)
Missing Indigenous Person Alert
Blue Alert (cop killer/serious injury)
And the other catch-all: Endangered Missing/Media Alert

UFB. I love the quote "resources and attention are given so we can bring home missing Black children and women in the same way we search for any missing child and missing person". What is Noose 'Em saying here? That they otherwise would not give resources to black children or is he saying that black children are not like any other children? I mean it is a bit raysis' either way isn't it?
