This may seem odd, but maybe others have had this happen. The fuel filler pipe dropped behind the fender on my new Ram truck.

At the gas station, I flipped open the fuel door, and the Fuel tank pipe opening was gone! Looking through the hole in rubber bladder which surrounded it, I could see that it had dropped behind the fender. Sooooo. . . Good thing I carry a tool box with wire, etc. Just got on my back, reached up with some wire and a pliers, jammed it back up through and wired the two parts of the bracket together. With only 3000 road miles on a 2020 Rebel, the spot welds on the bracket were bad. So currently 5 days waiting for the part Under warranty.

Other then that, so far so good & happy with the truck. But opening that fuel door was a WTH moment.

Just saw this in someone else's post - they had a hose clamp that was not tightened from the factory. Sounds like they aren't the only ones.

The new bracket part has arrived at the dealer and I have an appointment on Friday to get this fixed. I will be sure to mention the hose clamp fitting tightness issue noted elsewhere. Everything on the fuel tank assembly will be checked.
