Front license plate bracket

I wasn't really happy with how sturdy mine was so I got some longer bolts and nuts. Now that sucker is never gonna come off.;)

I don’t require a front plate, I’ve been trying to decide what to put in those predriled holes!
I color matched some plugs. Like a lot better than just holes in my bumper too. Worked good too because i color matched all my emblems also.

Coincidentally I just got my plates today. As I put on the front plate using a nut driver I checked the bracket bolt heads as they are the same size. Both heads just spun and don’t tighten yet when I shake the bracket it’s pretty snug. Figured maybe they are through bolts? Was getting dark so I didn’t get down and check (yet).

I also added my blockheater and battery tender plug to my bracket too.

My spinning screws are from my sales rep using a drill with a screwdriver bit to put the temp plates on. I was signing paperwork while my wife watched this occur.

Don't let it happen to you. Far too few people understand how soft the plastic bumper inserts are.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the plate to bracket mounting. One of the screws fell out after I picked up the truck. The other gives me no confidence that it will stay either. Machine screws and thin soft plastic? Pretty crappy solution for a plate bracket.

ETA: I can confirm that 1/4 x 1" screws will tighten up nicely.
