This is what I’m seeing on mine. Is that similar to your problem?I know this is an old thread but my front end went out my splines were out bad I couldn't figure out what the noise was every time I hit a bumper there would be clunk clunk not your typical front end sound that you would expect from a CV shaft when I'm getting at is there was so much play right there where the half shafts come into the differential I could take my hand and it would move an inch up and an inch down and I had to have my whole front end replaced and it turns out it's a extremely common problem I'm actually having to probably have my whole front end replaced again just after 20,000 miles of them replacing it I'm fighting with them right now on it cuz there's so much play in it. I have a 2019 ram 5th gen 1500 5.7
Looks about normal. Was just working under the truck and decided to take a look at the CV axle and noticed this excessive movement noise. Does this sound\look normal?
