Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

@boogielander

Another thought...

A full Thuren suspension package would run $2400...
Front UCAs, Rear U/L UCAs, Rear Panhard, Rear Swaybar Endlinks

Thuren tuned Kings run $4105 for.. Gas Hemi, 2.5" lift, F&R Adjusters, Std Silver Reserviors, Stage 1 or 2 custom valving.

I've frequently heard that Kings are stiffer than Foxs, but if Don tunes them to my F/R weight distribution, vehicle lift/height, wheel/tire combo, etc..that should be equated for (??).

The Kings are only Mid/1-way Adjustable compared to Fox's Hi/Low, but it seems that members are finding that for street Rams, approximately Mid-settings (~4-5L and ~5-6H) are what's working best for the Fox PEs, so basically the Hi/Low's are being adjusted closely together (~1 click) also/anyways, kind of like pseudo-Kings(??)

Thoughts on the Don-Kings(🤣) vs Fox PEs with the Thuren Suspension pieces??
I like the idea of having Don set up a whole package.
i probably said this before somewhere but the only reason I went Fox 2.5 DSC was because of no ETA on Kings at the time of me ordering parts. I was in a rush to get everything setup and dialed in within 6 months of ordering the truck LOL and I probably said this before, but if Don had the Kings in stock and ready to do his stuff at the time (circa 2022), then this thread would be completely different lol
So yes, between Don-Kings and Fox, I'd go full Thuren every single time. (yeap i am biased lol)

now, yes, Kings are stiffer than Foxes on pavement. That is a fact. Whether Don can tune them to match Fox is up to him.

So with the 4l/5h setting, the Fox PE's are awesome! My problem is, now I want to change from the Fox 2.0 to Fox PE's in the rear...... There goes another $1500.... 🤣

@Morenar @mplaramie
Interesting, you both are running Fox 2.5 PEs in front and Fox 2.0s in rear..and it seems that 4L/5H or 5L/6H are the sweet spots for you.
Based on your info, if I go with PEs, I think I would try a scale of 3L/4H, then 4L/5H, then 5L/6H, then pick a winner to dial in the valving.
I like my truck to bias the center of weight(or feeling of center) towards the rear slightly, so with a perfect level, I would probably set my rear PEs 1click down for L/H compared to the fronts to feel slightly softer (when unloaded).

@boogielander
If I get a good feeling that Don can set up some Kings to street ride like Fox PEs, then I'll pop the $4105 for them, but if I'm not confident in that, I'll just get the Thuren suspension from him and go with the Fox PEs (I can get them for $3059 until 7/25, then they go back up to $3209, so the clock is ticking).

Thanks for all the great advice everyone!!
