Was all set to order Form lighting for our 2022, but their website shows it as incompatible with pretty much most of the trim levels (including Big Horn)

Is that true? They confirmed it is true, but it seems like there are plenty of people using them, surely someone put them on one of the 'incompatible' trim levels by now?

I don't know what the exact incompatibility is, I did reach out and ask them.

Thanks in advance.

They come with 2 different harnesses for Halogen/LED. Plus I think they even have a video showing on Bighorn and American Truck. I'm not sure why they would say that.

That's what I thought, too. How could they not have them work with the DT series that has been out for 6 years at this point?

They got back to me and said the connector is the issue.

"The incompatibility is the connectors for the lamps. The Big Horn will need a specific adapter. Currently, you can plug the factory harness directly into the back of the lamps, but most of the functions do not work."

Plug-and-Play. Our headlights are completely plug-and play and will fit perfectly for both halogen and OEM LED models and without any gaps. Adapters are included for halogen and OEM LED models and were designed to plug into your factory headlight connector, with no wiring modifications needed. No errors, flickering, or hyperflashing! A fusebox wire harness is also included to power the running lights, if your truck doesn't come with daytime running lights (non-DTRL) from the factory.

yeah its weird...

From Form's website:

Isnt that like...*all* of the trim levels?

Laramie, Big Horn and such have the same " shape" headlights. Longhorn, Limited and TRX have a smaller shape headlight if that makes sense.

I'd message Jeremy at above link.

Jeremy was surprised about what Form has on their website. They fit the Big Horn just fine. I went ahead an ordered a set from him.

Thanks again.

FYI - they fit just fine. In our case, at least, they didn't even need the adapter harnesses. 2022 Big Horn with the factory halogens, 12 pin connector. Same 12 pin went right into the new headlights.

Spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to adapt the factory 2 pin marker light harness, only to realize the same signal is in the 12 pin as well (odd but maybe meant for trucks with "low" line LED lights?) So the factory 2 pin doesnt need to connect to anything on the new headlights. Will tape over it to keep it from shorting.

Currently don't have the red lead on the new headlights connected...I assume thats the DRL lead, Im supposed to run it with a fuse insert into the power block at the front of the truck,. but Im curious if I can run it to the BCM and use "dedicated" as the DRL location in the BCM.

Made a few changes with AlfaOBD and everything works as expected. Turned DRLs off for now because I dont believe in leaving the low beams on the whole time as "DRLs". Prefer to use the strips (not the turn signal), but not sure what I need to do with the red lead to make that happen.

Also...just let me say, what a gigantic PITA it is to replace headlights on these trucks. It feels like RAM thought they had a problem on the 4th gen with the headlights being too loose or something...and then proceeded to go overboard for the 5th gens.

Yeah it's definitely not a simple quick swap. I already did a swap from the silver LED to black LED. Then grabbed the FORMs for a great price and swapping again.

Yep, luckily they work well. Made some necessary changes with Alfa, only thing left is figuring out what to do with DRL.

The lights themselves had a red lead that Form says to run to a fuse (harness included), but Im curious if there is a lead to connect it to that goes back to the BCM and acts like DRL control.

Form confused me so much after email to them, i didn't even want to deal with those lights. One ad said works with factory halogen, on form site said will not work with Bighorn, longhorn, limited and trx models...I emailed and they said would not work with Bighorn. But, limited and trx is totally different light style, not sure about longhorn, so confusing. Nothing about not working with Lonestar which is just a Bighorn sold in Texas. So by email response, would not work with any truck.....so confusing. Then I look at vland lights on Amazon and outer clear cover, layout, looks all look identical to the form lights, even the Dot etc stamps on lense, and are 1/2 the price of form and say they work for bighorn, longhorn , but not trx or limited. Can't tell difference between 2 brands, here are 2 photos.
