Fold down rear seat?

Craziest way to fold the the rear seat LOL. Not even mentioned in the owners manual lol.

If your truck has reclining rear seats then they fold down. There is a 2nd tiny strap that's tucked in behind the seat to unlatch it.

For the life of me I can't find this pull cord to release the Rebel seats. Does anybody have any more info for the Rebel specifically? I spent more time than I care to admit trying to access this from the top and bottom. Just can't make it happen.

Recline the rear seats, fold down the rear center console, look behind the seat near the headrest. You will see a very thin black bungee loop. Pull that down and it will release the seat back. Its easier to find the drivers side one first. Once you know what/and where to look, you'll be able to find the passenger side release.

My seats don't recline. I also don't have a center console. It is a more basic trim in the interior. Back seats don't move/recline and the "console" is just a drink rest/arm rest, not a console where you can see to the side.

If that’s the case your seats don’t fold down. It’s only on the reclining seats.

Rebel/big horn seats don't fold down, as they don't recline.

Thank you. I feel better now I couldn't find the damn lanyard to pull. So in order to access the panel behind the seats, seats must just be removed them, old-fashioned way?

Do the back seats fold flat enough down to sleep in the back?

If you folded the seats UP you could sleep on the floor. Folded down in normal seated position, could still sleep on it for sure. Tons of room.

Be careful if you have heated and cooled rear seats. The connections won't allow these seat backs to fold forward very far.

Okay, I didn't even think about just sleeping on the floor, that should be perfect. Just ordered my truck a few days ago so trying to figure everything out before it arrives.

okay i'll ask..is this for camping or just in case you need a place to sleep?!

I will be camping maybe 4-5 nights a year. And maybe the occasional sleep in the back on a road trip. Do you think a small air mattress would be able to fit on the floor?

not sure but prolly easily fit in the bed of the truck with the tailgate down, but prolly need to bring someone with ya and sleep in shifts in case of wild animals tho : )

Crew cab has plenty of room to lay back there with the seats down (lay on seats) or folded up (space on floor). I thought of this same thing for my solo trips to/from FL--PA. You may want to pick up some of those gym floor rubber mats/puzzle interlocking type or papasan cushion and be set for few hours of zzzzzzzzz.

I get a hotel when I need it but having the space to lay out for a few hours --a big plus.
