Stupid question but any chance this update comes OTA? I'm lazy and I hate my local Stealerships. With my luck they will just break something or find a way to wreck the truck. (I'm only partially kidding).

2019 ETorque here. Great info, Thank You
I towed 90 miles this weekend stuck in a lower gear thought I was losing my mind
Towing maybe about 7,000 lbs

I wonder if this is worth having done when I go in for my first (free) oil change. I haven't experienced the issue but why not just pre-emptively do this?

Some dealers won't do unless you have the concern.

3 weeks and 1800 miles after the update... All good here

Riding around in T/H mode for a week now after update and no issues. Looks like when in T/H mode it now disables the Start/Start feature. Awesome!

@Cbty2050

Any idea what the difference is between the above TSB which was done last month on my truck (successfully) and the following recall I found out today that was supposedly done on my truck during an oil change??

I couldn't get a clear answer from the service writer?

(Did they make the TSB an official recall or was it an additional update they did also?)

Looks like they changed it from a TSB to a recall and a RRT, depending on build date. It is the same update.

This exact scenario happened to me this morning at my dealer. so frustrating.
2022 getting the same CEL, Engine malfunction error, dash start stop warning, limp mode, but the computer cleared all the codes after so many cycles.... told me their experience its my trailer and I should try a different trailer. Told me to take photos and video next so I have proof...
+1
I had the same problem.
Just over 500 miles on the 2022 1500 Limited 5.7 eTorque.
PIcked up the boat to tow it home (not huge, 3k lbs or so.)
Drove it in Tow/Haul mode for the first time.
Drove about 30 miles, then coming to a stop at a light:
Vibration/runs rough (sometimes it feels like the eTorque just keeps it in high gear while you stop and just lets it stall! :p)
CEL; Auto Stop/Start warning; ACC warning.
Power cycle Truck
CEL remains, other lights off; truck runs fine.
RAM App starts sends me 3 Vehicle Health Checks with issues.
Drive home, pull code: U0402 (Implausible Data Received from Transmission)
Scheduled service (they're a week out!)
Drove it that week, CEL resolved in a day or so, truck ran fine.
RAM App sends me vehicle health checks at least once per day with a warning for the ACC (my 'scan tool', Torque Lite, only finds the U0402 code stored)
Took in to dealer (CEL now off)
Dealer finds stored code, with 44 good key cycles since the code was stored; Considers me crazy for bringing in the truck (even though the RAM app asked me to EVERY DAY, and I caught a CEL with 550 miles on the truck!).
Dealer called it a "Fluke" and shoudn't happen again.
I am not convinced.

(Drove it around in Tow mode this week w/ no trailer, and no issues yet, so we'll see)
(1000 miles on a brand new truck, and I'm worried it may not drive, thanks Chrysler,Dodge,Ram!)

Thanks to the others for posting, and especially for the STAR case info!
