I registered on this site in November and was just now able to get a confirmation email so I could post. But, whatever, I'm here now!
I ordered my new 2022 Big Horn 4x4 the third week in November and took delivery on Dec. 15, about 3-1/2 weeks! The scheduling gods must have been looking our for me. The dealer said he's never seen such a thing in his life. But he said they seem to build these things in waves of similar vehicles and I must have hit the timing just right because he didn't think I would get the truck until at least after the new year.
Thus far, I'm extremely pleased with the truck. I ordered the 5.7 Hemi eTorque, Bed Utility Group, Big Horn Level B, 8.4 Uconnect with NAV, and the Trailer Tow Group with the backup assist since we will be towing a travel trailer around all summer. My wife has a t-shirt that says "I'm sorry for what I said while you were backing up the camper!" so that explains why the tow group was a big deal. I highly recommend the Bed Utility group for the spray in bed liner, bed lighting (I think I could sit in the back and read a book at night as bright as it is) and the retractable step to hop up into the bed. Plus I got the four tire sensors for the built in TPMS.
I also added a Retrax ONE retractable bed cover which is really nice. The only hiccup thus far is that the tailgate froze a couple of times in the Michigan snowy/icy winter but that comes with the territory.
So, finally at 67 years old I got my first truck. What a beast! It's a total joy to drive and we are anxiously awaiting the day we can bring the camper home from winter storage and test the backup assist system. If anybody has used the backup assist software I'd like to hear their thoughts on it.
