First Oil Change in 2019 1500 Limited

I had no problem on my V6. Filter housing is up on top and drain plug goes straight down.

I got my Fumoto ready for the next change to install. I have also been looking at relocation kits, and I really like the Hmaburger's Performance Kits, part number 3363 should fit our trucks, and you need their mounting bracket. All the other kits I have researched seem pretty cheap
I'm guessing that's a typo, and you meant to say Hamburger's instead of Hmaburger's LOL. That kit looks well made. I also like the flexibility in mounting options, and the fact that the hoses come from the filter adapter at 90 degrees. But the cost of it is more than 4 times the price of the Trans-dapt kit I bought. I've used Trans-dapt relocation kits in the past, and have never had an issue with them. But I really like the kit you bought. Hmmm...maybe I'll sell the Trans-dapt and pick up a burger instead ;) When you say you need their mounting bracket, are you saying you need to buy that in addition to the relocation kit? And can you tell us where you bought it?

First time I crawled under my truck for the oil change I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Damn oil filter over the steering controls!!!

LOL, typing too fast... I have not bought the kit yet. They make a couple different mounting plates for their kits, a flat piece and a 90 that you buy separate. As far as I can tell, Tran-dapt and Hamburgers are part of the same company. Trans-dapt is cast aluminum and Hamburger's is billet, plus with Hamburger's you get better fittings and Gates Power grip hose clamps. Next time I'm under the truck, I'm going to try and figure out the best location before I make a decision.

Thanks for the reply. But I am wondering if you're looking at the right kit. Everything I've seen says the oil filter on the 5.7L Hemi uses a thread size of 22 x 1.5 metric. The kit you referenced shows a thread size of 3/4 -16 SAE. I'm having trouble even finding which kit would apply for the 5.7L Hemi.

Yep, I was looking at the wrong saved page, look at 3367, original post edited to correct part number

That looks better. But it's more expensive LOL. I'll have to think about this. I guess it comes down to how much I want to spend on a kit that I trust will not fail and potentially kill my engine. Which wouldn't be covered by my warranty. This discussion isn't doing a thing to talk myself out of spending the extra $$$. Thanks for the link.

I'm in the same boat. I really like the quality of their kit. When I do the next oil change, im going to scope out the possible mounting spots that give easy access and protection of the filter.
