If you have a sunroof on your new brand new RAM, you ABSOLUTELY need to check the sunroof drains! Most dealers don't know about this leak source.
1. Why check sunroof drains? If they are not seated properly, and many new Rams have at least one not seated, you will get water into your new truck! It's quick and easy. I picked up my brand new Limited the day it was delivered to the dealer and the carpet was slightly wet from transit due to one drain being unseated.
2. How do I check the drains? Look down between the cab and bed ON EACH SIDE to visually inspect each drain grommet. This photo is of the passenger side. You can seen the grommet hanging loose by the white drain tube and the larger flange toward the cab that should be inside the cab:
3. How do I fix them? If you have one that is popped out, simply crawl underneath the truck (can't get to them from the top with man hands), reach up and work the larger flange on the cab side back into the cab. Takes longer to crawl down there and back than the fix. Do not let a dealer tell you they need to remove the bed to fix it!
4. What about the front drains? Yes, there are two of them also. We've not heard of any of these being loose but it pays to check them as well. Photo is passenger side front door jamb and white drain tube can be seen protruding from grommet just to left of finger tips:

5. What happens when sunroof drains get clogged? You get water in the cab - bad! Now keep in mind that the panoramic sunroof has four drains and they are protected by seals when the sunroof is closed. They keep out large items like leaves, etc. that would normally plug the drains.

Dual Pane sunroof:
The dual pane sunroof glass panels interface with the body roof opening flange with rubber seals to prevent wind noise and
minimize water intrusion when the sunroof is closed. The sunroof system features a water management system that collects
any water that leaks passed the sunroof seals and drains it safely outside the vehicle through drain hoses connected at all
four corners of the sunroof frame.
