Exhaust Options for Hurricane 3.0 SST

Does this mean they got rid of the mid pipe? Or was that what they were showing with the x-pipe? I need to go on their site again. So far it’s sounding and looking like the best option.

Check out AWE as well....watched a video...sounded great I think. Full cat back replacement.

I have it, and yes it does. It is a totally different sound than a V8 but makes an inline motor sound great.

Good to know...that is the one I am leaning towards, and you having it and liking the sound of it makes me feel a little better. haha. (hard to judge and spend a good amount of money on just watching a video!!)
Does the sound compare to their video? Also did you get the AWE 0FG? (looks like about $1700 depending on the tip color...I will go with Chrome for mine)

Nothing obnoxious and no need to **** off the neighborhood. Just a nice low growl or rumble would be nice.

I’m not familiar with the 3.0 but I’m guessing you’re not gonna really get much growl. Maybe I’m wrong but when i was young i had a GC with the 4.0. Put a flowmaster exhaust and sounded like a pack of bees.

Exactly...it is why I am being really cautious with choosing this one. And I understand it won't sound like a true V-8...I get that. But you can improve the sound some. Just looking at all options. The AWE video from their site sounds really nice. Just casting a wide net.

LOL I also like not getting killed by my wife! I have owned WAY too many vehicles....I do like the new engine, I really do. Lots of power, decent gas mileage. (and the damn V-8 wasn't a thing when I bought it!!!) LOL

When I finally do decide and put one on...I will for sure. I am leaning towards the AWE 0FG...check them out. There are some others as posted above...but some companies are still in development.

My truck is being used by AFE Power to develop a new exhaust for the SO Hurricane. Obviously the sound isn’t going to have the same V8 growl but does have a deep tone to it. No drone or rasp and nice 5 inch tips. Here is a Cold start and revs

Really need the sound of exhaust while driving with engine under load.
