Not exactly sure what a drone exhaust is so I'll try here. Bought my 2019 in February and only have 1600 miles on it. It's a 5.7 hemi Big Horn Ram and has been nice so far. Drove it yesterday morning with no problems but when I drove it later, there was a exhaust sound heavy in the cab and that was just easing down the driveway. It would come and go and was deafening at times. I would hit the gas just a little and the rpm revved up to 4k and just stayed there for a few seconds. I didn't notice any difference in the drive nor were there any warning lights. This went on until I shut it down after a 10 minute drive. when I restarted after 45 minutes, it almost seemed like the computer reset, based on my screen, and the bad exhaust sound went away. Any help is appreciated.

It's the active noise cancellation. There is a software update to fix at your local Ram dealer.

Or that's my guess.

HI bhardy5005,
Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (08-033-19) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get you back into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. Please send us a private message if you have any additional questions or would like additional assistance!

I had a scheduled appointment today at the dealer. They looked up the TSB you mentioned and they said it is for a different truck, not the 2019 Big Horn Ram. Looks like I'm starting over.

Hi bhardy5005,
Thank you for the update. The TSB I provided does apply to the All New 2019 RAM 1500. Your dealer may have searched for the incorrect TSB. I would like to look into this further. Please send us a private message with your VIN and mileage at your earliest convenience.

Nice to see RAM Cares monitors social media. You’d think theyd be answering these questions first, or near so. Course I’m coming from the F150 and Edge side where I don’t think Ford knows what a forum is yet, based on their lack of interest shown in the past.

Yes, an important ‘check on the pulse’ that every company should embrace.

Better to get involved sooner rather than after the dung tsunami has boiled up on the forums.

Good to see RAM Cares efforts to sort out recurring customer issues.

Hi
I seem to be having the same problem at 1300 miles on a 2019 Ram 1500 quad cab but I also changed to aftermarket Pioneer player and JBL speakers so not sure if there’s a problem there with connection? I know it’s a Hemi 5.7 but I didn’t think it would be this loud in the cab. It wasn’t when we bought it at 212 miles.
help! I love the truck but it’s annoying. Note I’ve also tried changing gear limit to 8 but still experience it.
