I'm nearing 900 miles of mostly city and back road driving and seeing 25.3 miles per gallon... Happy for certain, but I have a 2000 mile drive coming up in a week and this will be the first real test.. FYI, I drive everything like its my last day on earth and like I stole it.. ;)

This past weekends drive - 1262.8 miles on 49.56 gallons, so 25.48mpg. 99% interstate, 70-75mph. This was on I-90, WA-395 and I-84 from Rapid City, SD to Vancouver, WA. Lots of elevation changes. Never saw less than 7th gear on the long hills, RPM usually below 2500. The last 297 miles was pretty flat, 10.98 gallons, so 27mpg @ 70mph most of the way; gauge reading for this part was 26.9mpg. This is the only tank where I captured all of the details.

I’m at 3,300 on the odometer. 80 miles round trip for work everyday. My EVIC shows anywhere from 26mog to as high as 27.7mpg. Average speed for my commute is probably around 70mph.

doing my first decent camper trip with it this weekend. Should be about 300miles. Very excited to see how it does on that. Would only get 8-9mpg pulling it with the hemi.

Put in a lil roadtrip with the wife this past week.

I usually get a little over 700 miles per tank, which is bonkers compared to anything I've owned. When I fill the tank I reset the trip odo. I reset the econ guage once at about 2000 miles and haven't bothered since. 33 Gallon tank, 3.92 RD, mostly 55mph highways in 2WD.

We drove around northern New Mexico to see the sights and different biomes in our state. Did the enchanted circle with both detours for the palisades and angel fire. Hit the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and decided not to jump. Checked out the earthships. Even went to fabulous Las Vegas, NM! No fuel-ups. This is unreal.

I just did a 308 mi hilly RT trip pulling my 7000+ camper. Ended up getting 13mpg hand calc, 13.3 on the EVIC. Nice not having to stop for fuel with the 33 gal tank. Non-towing I've been exceeding 800 miles/tank.

Just a note specifying the fuel consumption settings, I have mine set to UK mpg which is 1 imperial (Canadian) gallon =4.54 litres, other option is US mpg which is 1 US gallon = to 3.78litres, the other two options are litres/100km and km/litre.
If you find that your manual calculations are way off, go back and check the settings selected, US mpg or UK mpg.
The best mpg I have had was on a 300 km trip with a bit of a tail with was 33 mpg at 100kph cruise EVIC reading.
Next best was a trip of 750 km at 31 mpg at 110kph average with a tail wind,EVIC reading. The Rebel was loaded. On the way back, with less than 1/2 the load I got 29 mpg with a head wind and rain, EVIC reading , I’ve always noticed that the fuel consumption is always worst during rain, my Jeep Trailhawk Elite is the same thing, the brakes are applied or dragged slightly of some sort to keep the rotors dry for quick emergency braking.
I have done two 300km trips with a 2500lbs utility trailer with its tailgate removed because of wind drag and got 25 mpg EVIC reading.
Now I did do many hand calculations and every time the EVIC showed better fuel consumptions by 1/2 to 1 mpg.
All in all I am impressed with the fuel consumption compared to my previous 2011 Ram Outdoorsman 5.7 Hemi.

2020 EcoDiesel 3.92 and 4x4, I am right under 600 miles on the truck and my average on the dash is at 22.2 mpg but I have seen it as high as 22.6 mpg. Most of the driving so far has been 40/60 highway and city.

It looks like your mpg is low, you must be in the United States, in Canada the average would be 27 mpg, using our imperial gallon.
I have no regrets buying the diesel, the diesel is an $3900 option over the Hemi but there was a rebate of $2500 to upgrade to the diesel, a difference of only $1400.
I did did the calculations comparing my 2011 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi and my 2020 Rebel 3L diesel, the calculations are for 16000km (10000 miles) I added the DEF, one $250 oil change (at 16000km) compared to two $75 oil changes for the Hemi (8000km each), I put diesel at $1.00/ litre and $1.10/litre for regular 87 octane gas, diesel is usually cheaper than gas here in Northern Ontario. A total difference of over $800 cheaper to drive my new Rebel for the 16000 km.
Now the top figures are not accurate as what they will be, hopefully over $900 savings, because I purchased the recommended diesel oil 5w40 at half the price and hopefully be buying the OEM oil filter at a discount price. I found the OEM oil filter at Rockauto.com it is cheaper but it’s the older part number #68498720AA, on the mopar.com it says oil filter #68507598AA (supersession #68498720AA), now did the number change or did the filter change? I will have to make some calls before purchasing. Has anyone else ordered these filter?

I have a 2020 Limited, 3.21, 2WD. I have factory 22's. Non towing Vegas to So Cal at 72 MPH, 30.1 MPG. Run it at 75-80, 26 MPG. Towing a car on a low car hauler both ways, 22.6 MPG. Almost the exact mileage towing as my Range Rover Sport T6 diesel. The RRS does get better road MPG unloaded.

Your 2020 has a Gen 3 Ecodiesel, so you need the new oil Filter with the new cap on it.
There is a new Bypass Valve in the Cap

Coming up on 300,000 total miles tracked now, and looks like 22 MPG is the real world number for the Gen 3 EcoDiesel in the Ram.

Interesting thing is that the same driveline in the Jeep Wrangler is at 20.77 MPG average among real owners. And those don't ever tow heavy. Odd.

I've only got about 800 miles on my 2021 but so far my hand calculated mileage is 25 MPG. I do 90% highway driving during the week and I average 75-80 on those 85 mile runs round trip.

On my return trip from up north towing an enclosed 7x17ft enclosed trailer which is really tall and weighing around 5000lbs loaded I averaged 17.06L/100km or 13.8mpg over 1260km. This is much better than my old gasser got towing the same trailer/weight.

A little over a month ago traveled 1500 miles round trip, Georgia to Pennsylvania with four on board and lots of "stuff" in the bed. Had about 3K miles at start. Vehicle is 2020 Bighorn 4x4 with 3.21 gears. Averaged a little over 26mpg (US) at highway speeds often creeping into the high '70s. Included mountainous driving on I-81 in Virginia, plus a share of typical non-Interstate touring. Pretty satisfied with the results, although they're not much higher than my around-town driving which hovers at 25mpg. Happy with that as well. When ordering the truck I debated between 3.21 and 3.92 gears. Went with 3.21s because I have no plans to tow. Figured low end torque and 8-speed automatic would keep it from being a slug off the line. Seems to be a good decision.

I’m at 3400miles on my 21 Laramie with 3.92 and I’m impressed so far. My commute to work isn’t highway buy it’s 70 mile round trip and I average 27-30Mpg per the digital read out. Average speed for commute is 35-40. So far been at 27mpg per tank apart from a 900mile trip to Michigan which rear out 19.9mpg once home for the whole trip. Towed 2 atvs, ~3000lbs. I also did a 500mile round trip at 65-75mph empty and just me in the truck mostly highway and read out was 29mpg. After 495miles still had 405 on the range.

One word: Aerodynamics.

The Wrangler has to be one of the least aerodynamically "slick" vehicles in production.
