New to the site after my purchase of a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. I have power driver and passenger seats but they both don't go back the same distance. Passenger seat goes way back but the driver about 20% less distance. Is that normal or perhaps do I have an issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi @DKEEZY - If this is something that you end up having to address further with your dealer, our team is just a private message away and we are happy to connect you with a specialist for an additional layer of support through that process.

I need to jump in the passenger seat and find out. I am really tall and would like a little bit more travel. Good find!

Is it possible that the seats are at different heights? That might affect how far it appears to move. In other words, lower (or raise) both seats to the same height and check again.

I have the exact opposite problem with my 2021 RAM 1500 - the from passenger seat doesn't go back enough. Good thing my wife is only 5'3", but it is uncomfortable for anyone >6'. I don't understand why they designed it as such given the ample room in the rear seat area. Anyone else have this issue?

That's the genesis of this thread. I am in this boat. Would love an extra 1-3" of space but cannot find seat rails made for this.

Is it possible to move the whole driver seat 2" back? Like unscrew and move the whole rail system back. I am 6'6 and my right knee hits the front panel.

I have the same issue, the one thing I dislike about the truck. Ford and GM have more front leg room.

I have the same problem in that the passenger seat doesn't go back as far as the driver seat so my wife isn't comfortable and rarely rides in the truck!!!

There was a similar issue with my G8. I believe the driver's seat in that car did not move as far back because of the steering wheel airbag. The thought was that the airbag became ineffective at a certain distance, so the seat was limited in travel. On the G8 some people were able to remove the stops in the seat rails to restore full travel.

Sounds like a few of us have the same issue. Question is...who is going to experiment?

I think we have to live with it. After reading other posts, if we adjust the seat too far, it will be out position of the airbags. Therefore, the airbags won't be effective in case of accidents.

Good point. Comfort every time I step inside my vehicle or safety for a small chance...?

I’m 6’4 and I have to drop my seat way down and get the front up. Guess I’m just used to vehicles being to short

Does anyone have info on how to move stops. Utube link, etc.

I'm 6'5" and no issues passenger or driver side with seat travel. Drivers side is power and I always adjust the rear of seat down as far as it will go and lift the front up until my legs are supported. I can actually move my drivers seat forward a few inches and still be comfortable and plenty of leg room. Passenger seat is manual and goes back plenty far for me and my wife to be comfortable. She is 6'3" but has longer legs than me.

If your seats aren't sliding back far enough, I'd start by making sure there isn't anything stuck in the track limiting travel.

I noticed a few weeks ago that the passenger seat wasn't going as far back as the diver seat. After reading this thread I went and looked at the seat height position and it was all the way up. Strangely enough this pushes the seat forward. I lowered it all the way and not it has the same amount of room as the drivers side.

I'd you ever find a way to move the passenger seat back more ?
