Driver seat cushion loose

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have a 2019 Bighorn since Dec 2018, it currently has 5880 miles. The other day while getting out of the driver side I heard a "click" and noticed the long clip (not sure what this is called), which prevents the driver side seat cushion from pushing up, came loose. I looked at how the passenger side is assembled so I could perform a quick fix and it worked, but it unclipped again when I sat down (I weigh 175lbs). Every time I clip it, it seems to come undone after some downward force is put on to the seat. I don't have side steps, So i'm not sure if when I get into the truck it's awkwardly loading this clip.

Has anyone experienced this issue? I tried searching the forum for "loose seat cushion" or anything along those lines, but couldn't find anything. If someone else has posted about this issue, please direct me to it.

Thanks!

Same issue with my 1500. Found it unclipped on the drivers side against the center console. I couldn't get it to stay on the steel piece, so I used a zip tie on that sob! Worked perfect. (I used a nail to punch a small hole in the cloth fabric to slide my zip tie through.)

If it works like my Titan, there's a bend in the pan sheet metal that the seat fabric edge grabs onto to keep it in place. On the Titan, the seat pan sheet metal would sometimes be soft or fatigued and this would happen all the time. Fix was (aside from a new seat pan) to get it in place and then get a couple of holes through the seat pan and fabric and zip-tie it into place. Way easier to do with the seat on the garage floor rather than in the truck. In your case, I'd probably just bring it back to the dealer and let them replace the pan or zip-tie it since it would be under warranty.

Just clip it back up, or bring it into the dealer. I found the pass seat in my laramie like this after a dealer did the air bag module recall. You have to fold the clip backwards so it faces up, and then just simply push it up back onto the metal rail. It will clip in.

Thanks for the advice. I will contact my dealer today and see if they can address the issue. If they can't fix it I will most likely zip-tie it. When I clip it back up it comes undone as soon as I sit down. I think the clip is worn out enough so it doesn't have the same strength it used to and won't stay in place.

Does it on my 17 Suburban every time I get in. It’s annoying for sure. I’d bring your truck to the dealer and see what they say before zip tying.

When you re-clip it on the metal rail you think its all set. However sit in the seat and and it now un-clipped again. A zip tie will lock it down for good and save a trip to the Dealer.

I have a 19' Bighorn, and have the same exact issue. I'm glad its not just my truck, but still annoying. I can't get it clipped back in either

Had this happen to me as well. I'd been fiddling with it, but it always came undone. My last attempt, I moved the seat all the way back, sat in the seat, and manipulated the clip while seated. It took me a couple of attempts to get all 4 spots to clip in, working it from one side to the other, but finally had success. It's been several days since it's been detached... and I probably just jinxed myself.

Same issue with my truck as well. So far it's hanging on after being reinstalled.

I'm having the same problem, I have snapped it back on numerous times and it still pops off. I also have some experience with upholstery so I know there is definitely a defect in the clip and/or the seat bracket.

Hi All,

Sorry to hear of the shared concern you are experiencing with your trucks. We recommend connecting with your local Ram dealers, as they are in the best position to assist with this. Our team is available via PM if you are in need of any assistance with that process.
