Does your CarPlay music resume playing after you give Siri a voice command?

In my other vehicles, if I have music playing on CarPlay, and I use the steering wheel button to give Siri a vice command, the music resumes playing right afterward. In my Ram, I have to manually press play again to get the music to restart.

1) Is this normal behavior?
2) Does your screen in the gauge cluster show “iPod” when you are using CarPlay on iPhone? Not sure anyone has used an iPod in 10 years haha.

I can't speak for CarPlay, but it works fine with Android Auto. I wonder if there is a setting for auto resume in CarPlay.

Depends on what you’re using to listen to music....Apple Music or Podcast apps: yes it’s resumes (at least in mine)....Spotify: nope. Not sure about other music apps

Yeah, must be a Spotify issue then. Pretty sure Apple does stuff like that to get people to switch.
