Digital rear view mirror 19-20

Since i know oem digital rear view mirrors dont work on 19s and 20s i made my own lol. Acumen dash cam m4 and evil manufacturing 3rd brake light. Also added a front grill camera to the dashcam. Still trying to find a way to get it too work. I’ll probably do a wuick lil YouTube video showin the setup. Any questions ill try to answer the best i can

They do work 9n 2019/2020 and I have one on my 2020. I even created a how to on installing it.

But that's a cool alternative.

I was looking at this exact same camera as I wanted to add a front camera in addition to rear view to see past my topper but was concerned about losing some OEM stuff like auto wipers, side dimming mirrors, etc.

Nice job with the retrofit!

How'd you flash it? What year did you go from? Installing this is as easy as this other mod, but looks so much better.

A friend helped me flash my 2020 bcm to 2021 with cda6 and the mirror needs the module for the other cameras, which I want to try to do too. The only thing I changed was the camera of the third stop light from the 2500 lamp to the 1500 because they are different part numbers, so I took a screwdriver, heated it up and melted some plastic so it would fit the 1500 light.

When you cycle through the camera views,does Split View come up for the side cameras?
If not, try setting CBC Config I/O Usage: RVDM 4Camera Config to yes (you’ll have to connect as MY2023 powernet in order to see this setting). That will determine if a 1500 is even capable of using the DRVM 3.0 side cameras.

I enabled them with alpha without ECU verification but nothing came out. I'm going to upgrade my BCM to 2023 to see if I can enable them without having to check the ECU.

I checked a 21 and 23 1500 bcm on the bench, and they do broadcast the message for the 4 camera setting. It probably doesn’t matter what year bcm you use, it most likely won’t work on a 1500 since the 4 camera DRVM isn’t designed to be in a 1500, and they are still using the regular DRVM through 2025.
