Hello all! I’m new to the forums and was wondering if anyone had a phone number for Chrysler corporate. A very long story made short…My TRX was damaged during shipping ( that’s the story I received anyway ) and has been sitting at the dealership unbeknownst to me. The dealer told me that it was not there, but that I would be the first to know once it arrived, meanwhile it was sitting there the entire time. Since June 25th to be exact. In my opinion they tried to fix it before I found out that it was there. I’ve contacted customer service about the situation and was told to go to the Chrysler.com/chryslercares and someone would get back to me within one business day. This was approximately a week ago now and still no phone call back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do they have photos of the damage? I'd ask to see those first and then make your call on how you'd like to negotiate next steps with the dealer. Whats the extent of the damage and how and where are the repairs taking place.

Keep in mind the transport company is going to be paying for repairs as long as the dealer found the damage within a short time (1 or 2 days) after signing the BoL. If the dealer didn't notice the damage within that time frame, the transport company will deny the claim and the liability falls upon the dealer.

This is all important info you need to make a decision on how to proceed.

That’s where the situation gets shady. What a wild story… As I stated; it’s been there since June 25th. I knew the truck was shipping basically by accident. I called Chrysler to speak to them about my current Laramie, upon telling them that I was waiting for my TRX, they congratulated me and told me they would actually let me know how far along my truck was on the line. To my surprise the employee informed me that the truck had shipped and was slated for a June 23rd delivery. I immediately contacted my salesmen to initiate the early return on my current leased Laramie. I was then told that he had no information on my TRX, but not to worry, I would be the first person to know when it shipped. ODD…I let it go and chalked it up to being a misunderstanding. I let a weeks go by ( we are now at Monday, July 12th ) and then thought maybe I should give Chrysler a call again. I was then informed that the TRX had not only shipped, but that it was in-fact delivered on June 25th. ODD again. Upon hanging up, I called the dealer….again. “We have no new information” is the response I received…hmmmm. I gave it the rest of the day and decided to call Chrysler again the following morning, Tuesday, July 13th. Maybe there was some mistake. Again, I received the same answer. The TRX was delivered. I called the dealer and told them that I knew the truck was delivered and I wanted an answer as to what was happening. I was told that they would “do some further investigating and get back to me within the hour.” The rest of the day went by with no response. While this is happening, my business partner; who was also looking to purchase a truck from said dealership, was scrolling through their inventory online and proceeded to see truck listed. A flame red, built out TRX…my TRX, my vin#…The next morning, Wednesday, I called again. I was now told that the truck had arrived yesterday and that it had been damaged in shipping. “A dent on the right rear passenger side, but Chrysler will be paying for it.” I said ok, but please send me the photos of the dent and the damage report that was sent to Chrysler.” They agreed, but four days later i still had neither. I again, called Chrysler and they instructed me to ask the dealer again, but now they would also be filing a formal complaint on my behalf. I called the dealer, again…no response. I’m the meantime, my father lives close to the dealer’s body shop and is familiar with where it is because my sister actually used to work for the dealer before she moved away. He went there and there was my truck. The genetlemen allowed him to take photos of the truck including the vin which had been assigned to me. There was more than “just a dent”. The pictures were sent to me and I immediately called the dealer again. This time I asked to speak to the sales manager. When I finally got him on the phone, he proceeded to tell me that I was “in limbo” I said in limbo? He responded “yes, the shipper does not want to pay for it, Chrysler thinks the shipper should pay for it, and we don’t believe that we should have to pay for it. So you are in limbo” I then stated that the totality of things were not adding up, the time frame, the amount of damage , the failure to respond, and now the fact that I was “in limbo” I said quite frankly that this was all ********. He responded by saying “you know what’s ********? I also have a 2020 hellcat charger in my inventory, but it’s not here because it was stolen” huh? What? Now I understand the point he was attempting to make about their online inventory, but What exactly does this particular incident actually have to do with me ? Once again I have no answers. I proceeded to tell the manager that I just wanted my down payment back. He responded by saying “you can have the truck, it’s yours.” I responded by saying the near 100k truck was damaged, but accidents happen and that’s ok, but the way that it was handled was unacceptable and I no longer wanted to do business with liars. His response? “Well you know I will just sell the truck for 30k above sticker if I want to” I told him to go right ahead, and to send my money back to me. He confirmed my address and here we are a week later…still no check and still no answers. I will leave the dealership name and location out of this. But I will NEVER come remotely close to doing business with them again. And for those of you that are wondering…the truck is now listed for exactly 30k above the advertised price. It would sure be a shame if the person that purchased that damaged trx, never finds out. ED5EFF3C-876D-4E88-BFDE-0288E99A585B.jpeg C95BDA1C-86AC-43E9-A8BF-CEFF4FA2B6CB.jpeg

Wow that's pretty serious. I wouldn't want the truck after seeing that.

It also sounds like your dealer is very unprofessional and I'd choose to not do business with them.

They can put up a fight if he signed something stating it was a nonrefundable deposit, but all the OP has to do is put them on blast on Google, yelp, Facebook, Instagram, craigslist ... and he'll be getting his money back reallllll quick.

I honestly didn’t even want it to get to this. Its only a truck. I just wanted my money back and I feel as thought it’s worth nothing that I was very fortunate to be able to find another build from another dealer which I put a deposit on and will be delivered within the month, but after I was spoken to in that manner and the way it was handled…now they’re going to get it.

To me it sounds like the dealer got exactly what they wanted, they never wanted to give it to you in the first place and wanted to put it up for sale in the inflated market.

I too would like to know which dealer this is, so I can avoid them like the plague.
I agree with you. I didn’t want them to have the ability to sell it at a premium, but I could NOT give them my money. I own a business, I work very hard just like everyone here. I’m not a millionaire. It’s a big acquisition for me and everyone that purchases this vehicle. In my heart of hearts I could not spend my hard earned money there.

You're a bigger man than I, I'd have gotten really petty and pestered them until they fixed every tiny little BS flaw lol.

Try sending a message to @RamCares here. Maybe they can help. Also, maybe check out ram-trx.com, some of those guys have had issues and have contact info out there. One guy had the dealer tell him the truck was damaged but they actually sold it from under him.

Any business that has dishonest people working for them is a problem. Sorry to hear about you having this problem, but it sounds like you are handling it well. Best of luck.

BTW - the time for phone calls is gone. I would drive there (even if it's hours away) and look the guy in the eye, tell him to cut me my check on the spot, and tell him that he's a piece of **** to his face.
